The clearest skin I’ve ever had – you’ll never guess how I achieved this!

About six months ago I saw a photo of myself at about 14 years of age (I’m now 34), and was marvelling at how clear my complextion was….aarrh youth! I can’t remember my skin looking that good since this time, but I always put it down to hormones and my skin being very sensitive to comedogenic cosmetic ingredients. Anyway, I tried really hard to remember what my skincare regime consisted of back then – finally it came to me – baby soap and Nivea Creme! I was thinking no way – I’m not putting that greasy stuff on my face, but I gave it a go anyway (okay, so I modified it a bit – I used my own home made rice bran soap instead of the Johnsons)…..anyway, long story short – I haven’t had another blemish since starting this regime!

Who would have thought that after spending God knows how much money on high end skin care, that the first (and one of the cheapest) face creams ever invented would be the answer! Thank you Nivea – I love you!!

But when i stopped working there i just stopped drinking coffee as i realised it was messing me and my body up!

Glad you’ve stopped. I’m sure you feel better. Do you drink tea now?

Oh I love coffee sooooooo much!! If it didn’t make me buzz around the roof after having 2 in the morning I think I’d happily drink it all day. I try to alternate with some herbal tea in the afternoon (T2 have a gorgeous rosebud tea that I like). Anyway, back to skincare (lol) I think it’s wonderful that you’ve found something inexpensive that works for you Catlover 🙂

I seem to be on a never ending mission to find the ‘perfect’ cleanser, moisturiser and eye cream for sensitive skin but always come back to the old favourites from my teenage years too – Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and Moisturising Lotion. I also use a mix of Trilogy, Kosmea and Moo Goo creams but Cetaphil will always be a must have in my beauty bag xxx

I love Kosmea now that I’ve tried some samples so I went out and bought some different things from Kosmea, I’m very happy with what I got! They smell gorgeosu. Moogoo I’d love to try. I think I will suggest my bf gets me the large gift pack for my b’day. I love organic and natural, stuff without sodium laurel sulphate because that’s a baddy in my books. 🙂

I used to drink 10 cups of coffee with 3 heaped tsp’s of coffee in them i love the taste haha and i had to keep drinking it other wise i would get the shakes so i had to keep drinking it during the day to even me out anyway it was cos everyone where i worked drunk that much and offered to get me one all the time and i got totally addicted ….back when i was like 19 working at the autioneering house in the office.

I also got addicted to coffee when I worked in an office. It’s because sitting down all day can get a bit boring so the coffee would perk me up. I got in cranky and tired moods without the coffee so it was bad. Plus I think the coffee was stressing me out more. I now drink tea mainly and a few cups a day. Lot’s of antioxidents in tea!

I think if I ate healthier and less fatty foods, I’d have better skin but I’m naughty,I love my icecream, chocolate, scones, cupcakes and biscuits.

I agree with that actually. For about 2 years I ate virtually no sugar, hardly anything fatty and just lots of fruit, vegetables, wholegrains and good fats and had the best skin of my life. I had no breakouts and only wore the tiniest bit of mineral makeup, and that’s all I needed. Since going back on to things like chocolate, chips, fizzy drinks and other sugary and fatty things I’ve pretty much never looked worse! I’m trying my best to get back on track though.

It’s hard isn’t it. I go through phases but sugar, fat and salt is addictive. I am addicted to having ice cream nearly every night and I have about a ton of cheese on my pasta all melted on top lol When I went shopping tonight I purposely didn’t buy any cheese and only bought parmesan topping, I’m better off without the cheese!

wow that is lots of coffee! I probably have about 3 a day. And maybie a tea. I try not to drink any soft drink tho! so hoepfully that counts for something. My skin is finally improving but I think it is because of the estee lauder day cream! (the one from the trial) lucky it is a big tube! cos its a bit of a spend! hahha

too much caffeine is bad for you! and frankly I drink it everyday 🙁
And back to skincare, I think I’ve concluded that cheaper products works for me- though they don’t give me great great results at least my skin isn’t reacting badly to it like it would do to more powerful and expensive products
I’m still looking for a effective product that somehow isn’t too harsh- whoa so complicated! lol

same here…. naughty naughty!! I hit a low point at about 2.30 – when I have an hour of school left :/ and have to start eating again….

I have never done caffeine, keeps me awake for hours and hours – even if I have it in the morning!!
