Tea tree oil ?

I’ve heard that people use tea tree oil to get rid of pimples. Does it actually work?

Tea tree oil from Body Shop works for me. Apply with q- tip on the pimple and helps to combat redness. Once pimple is gone, I use tea tree oil moisturizer from the same brand to remove mark and control sebum

qwert posted spam on the previous post which I’ve reported. Obviously, he/she is not aware that Australia has the best tea tree oil and we don’t need to buy it online from Pakistan.

Be careful!! I used to have really bad acne and I heard that tea tree oil was good for it so I put it on the bigger ones and it hurt! it dried out my skin so badly and it stung so much and my pimples weren’t open. They were just regular white heads… I do not recommend.

I’ve used tea tree oil a couple of times to get rid of stubborn pimples, however it isn’t the best method. Since it’s an oil it makes my skin very greasy and if you’ve popped a pimple it’s not so good to use. However, it does do its job reasonably well despite the strong smell

Sure does but have patience lol. I use Thursday Plantation tea tree oil, great value and 100% pure tea tree oil. I dab it straight as it is but if it’s too drying you can dilute it with water or mix a bit with your moisturiser as a spot treatment xx

Definitely use Tea Tree Oil for pimples! it’s a natural antiseptic so will kill surface bacteria that are infecting your skin to cause pimples. I use the Thursday Plantation tea tree oil, and the tea tree oil range from the body shop. It’s great stuff and lasts forever.

Another interesting point, if you suffer from fungal nail infections, use tea tree oil underneath your nail bed every day to help fight them. But it only works for fungal infections in their early stages, some cases may require more harsh treatments or surgery. But for mine, within a few weeks it was all cleared up!

Yes, it’s great for pimple treatment.
The cheapest way to buy it is at the supermarket (Coles and Woolworths) for about $6. (Yes, it’s pure essential oil!) The brand is Thursday Plantation.
Tea tree oil is anti-bacterial and great for other things too. Like ingrown hairs, razor rash, cuts/abrasions and bites.
I have very sensitive skin but it’s still gentle enough for me.

Works for me – it’s antibacterial, so will prevent spreading and further infection, and is also antiseptic and drying. Don’t overuse or you’ll irritate skin and be careful near eyes and lips (though I find it’s quite effective on cold sores too – used very sparingly and with a q-tip). I just buy whatever is on special at the supermarket. It’s good for athletes food and fungal stuff too.
