Sponge Make-up brush or Fingers

Sponge, Makeup brush or Fingers which one do you prefer or how do you apply your foundation??
I just Purchased the MAC 190 Foundation brush and i love it! Gives my foundation that flawless look and makes application really easy. I previously used Manicare foundation sponges, they were great but this is even better.

I always wash my hands first & use my fingers to apply my foundation, i find it works really well 🙂

I always used my fingers until i got napoleans camera finish and i need to use the provided sponge to apply it…and its been like a revelation for me – the application is now perfect, no streaks or uneven bits!!

  • I use a foundation brush then i buff it out with my mac 188. Leave it streak free 😀

i either use my napoleon sable foundation brush or my sigma flat top kabuki brush, herafan if ur getting streaks with a brush try using less foundation and u will get a more flawless finish

I also use Sigma brush (F-82 I think) lately and I love the finish it provides. It`s very dense and makes blending effortless. And my face looks just perfect 🙂

I use cream/liquid foundation and had always just used my fingers. I recently bought some Sigma brushes, and am really liking the look of my foundation applied with a brush, but I have found I am using more product.

Because I use quite a thick foundation I like a foundation brush or fingers.
Sponges are too fussy for me. I like a brush because I can just slap it on!

For better coverage, I would recommend using a foundation brush for liquid foundations, or your fingers for a more sheer finish. I`ve never used sponges before but I can imagine it will soak up too much foundation?

If you have a liquid foundation, don`t use sponge. Sure, the texture of the sponge leaves a beautifully air-brushed finish to your makeup but it soaks up sooo much product. Do you know how I found out? I was wondering why I was using so much more foundation than usual when I was doing my makeup with a sponge. Then I poured my foundation so that it made a 5cm diameter circle. I placed the used sponge on top, and it soaked IT ALL UP. I could NOT squeeze it out! So I stick to my fingers (all my brushes leave streaks) and I pat it with the sponge so I can still get that air-brushed finish. See? A compromise 🙂
