Its greatthat you forwarded them to Becca and that they gave you such an honest reply iluvfacialz. Good of you beautybabe to warn everyone about these emails. Seems to be more and more often these things happen, just like the recent playstation hackers.

I received 2 emails from the same people stating they’re from Becca. I actually forwarded the emails onto the actual Becca email address and they got back to me within 24 hours, saying that they were fakes. Then I received an email from the US office and they said they were very sorry but that they’re servers had been hacked and the hackers got a heap of email addresses. But they were having forensics look into the event.

    Hi beauties!

I’ve just been in contact with BECCA in regards to this, and they have confirmed that it is in fact a scam and that BECCA are in no way aligned with the email that was sent.

I would advise that you don’t open the email and delete it straight away as it’s most likely a virus.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention Beautybabe111 – you may have just saved a few of our computers 🙂

Thankyou for that Deb! I also contacted Becca so will probably get the same response!

    No problem’s at all!

Truthfully I can’t remember whether I am or not 🙁 I’m signed up to so many beauty/makeup sites I’ve lost track! I was thinking about sending becca an email about it though.

Are you a member with Becca Cosmetics?
I’d maybe let them know about it so they can warn customers or check the security on their website.
I know paypal you can forward dodgy emails to them and they investigate.

Thats definitely what I was thinking, haven’t clicked any of the links as I was a little worried about it, think I will trust my gut feeling and delete it.

    Definitely seems dodgy.
I think I came across a smiliar scam last year and the ‘system clean’ was a virus!
