Smaller Frames

I am a little frustrated shopping for glasses. A few days ago a shop assistant said I have a small head that makes buying frames difficult. The majority of the market is size 50, 51 and 52’s. I was just wondering if anyone knows of any brands that produce nice frames in smaller sizes, 47, 48 or 49.
Has anyone else had trouble finding the perfect frames?

OMG I have the same problem! I have a small face so when I went to buy frames I tried on about half the store`s worth and only about two frames fit me. Yeah try square and large frames.

Try this online glasses store: stingyspecs.com.au they have a variety of frmae styles and talk about frame measurements and choosing frames to suit your style. I`ve bought stuff from them and they`re really cheap and excellent quality.

I`m with you Style Queen. In fact I`ve never given it a thought. My annoyance when going shopping for specs is that what you want is never available “”main stream”” (at reasonable prices).

Nope, i have quite a large head apparently, suitable for most general glasses sizes!

Hi, I have had exactly the same problem! I just recently bought a pair of glasses and as I have a small face, I needed something in size 47 or 48 at most. What made it more difficult to find glasses is that I wanted a semi-rimless pair. I looked everyhwere and finally found a nice pair at Paris Miki. The brand is Emporio Armani. They weren`t too expensive. I also saw 2 other brands with nice small glasses: Replay and Imagine, also not too expensive. God luck!

You could always get glasses with non-prescription lenses. They won`t attempt to `correct` your vision and you can have them as an accessory! Ask your optom about it =]

I think I found the perfect glasses for me. Maybe… They are fcuk ones, plastic full frames in purple, not too dark in colour but not too light. The only problem is that I couldn`t see myself too well with the lack of prescription lenses. Do you think the colour will suit fair skin and very dark brown hair??

Thanks for you advice everyone, Im trying to hunt down some of the suggested brands. I have noticed how crummy the popular chain stores are and am trying to locate some other stores in my area. Just for anyone else whose looking I noticed that Vogue has got a whole heap of 49 frames, mostly the popular plastic ones.
