research has been found that SKII works because it gets rid of more layers in the skin than it should, hence trhe glow

OK — I`ve given my 30ml sample bottle a pretty good run… it`s been a few weeks. Initially I could only use it at night because wearing it during the day made my foundation go too matte, but eventually I think my skin got accustomed to it and I could use it for day as well. SKII has made absolutely no difference to my skin at all! Normally my skin responds immediately either way. Like muraljewel, I have been a long time user of MD Formulations which really is one of the best brands you can get, so I think my skin really loves the challenge of products that pack a punch, and if you compare the brands (MD and SKII) I`m gonna get more punch from MD. I doubt I would ever buy the fullsize SKII but I would be tempted to try other products in the range to see if they made any difference, like maybe the masks – but I`ll save it for samples I suppose.
About 1.5 years ago I got a bottle of SKII Power Signs Treatment Lotion from a friend in the USA and it made all these fabulous claims, but again it did absolutely nothing wonderful for my skin…

hmmm Elmo, interesting – maybe the suburban Myer stores like Chadstone and Southlands, the girls are employed by Myer – even last week I was having this convo with a couple of them… they are always telling me I should be working with them cos I know sooooo much about skincare and makeup! 🙂 haha… and they reminded me of the stingy 15% only staff discount… one of my friends her sis used to work for a company that kinda outsourced for the Dept stores, Trimex or something – so they were hired by the store but thru this Trimex… too confusing for me… i`ll stick with putting lotions and potions and pretty colours on my face instead! lol

Actually, at least in Myer (I know for sure coz I used to work there) most cosmetics brands are concession brands which means they employ their own staff – not Myer. I had a friend who worked at Clinique in Myer and they were happy to give samples away to everyone, coz they not only get bonuses when they meet their budget but they also get the opportunity I think it was once a month to purchase HEAVILY reduced products from the `staff` store – it was super cheap! So basically, although they can be intimidating (they def are to me!) it is very rare if they don`t give you samples – unless they`ve just run out or something. All you have to say is I need to try before I buy anything. Clinique (this was before I knew my friend who works there) allowed me to return a full skincare system (cleanser, toner, moisturiser) because my skin reacted to it and they gave a full refund. You`d be surprised what they`ll do to try to keep your loyalty – coz there are so many other brands out there it`s so easy to lose customers.

Sometimes I think the girls at the counters here are stingy with samples because they keep what they can for themselves. I mean, they only get paid retail wages and they like all the good stuff just like us. Depending on their rank the girls are generally employed by the store, eg. Myer, DJ`s, etc, rather than being employed by Estee Lauder directly, unless they are a regional manager or something, so they don`t get full sized freebies, just the typical 15% staff store discount. The Lauder chick who stuffed my skin right up was a regional manager and she told me that within 2 months of working for the company she was given over $2000 worth of product!

I currently use 2 of their products, which I have received as samples. The Facial Treatment Essence was 30ml and it has lasted more than a month already (because you only use about 4-5 drops for your whole face). I have noticed no difference on my skin at all with this.
The second sample I have is the Skin Refining Treatment and this is used for reducing the size of pores. I use only a tiny bit of this at night and it is simply brilliant! I have noticed a definite difference and am very happy with it. -

Hi there,
I`ve been using the essence for about 1 month now and in the beginning was amazed at how great my skin looked. I`ve noticed this past week that anytime I apply my essence my skin feels oily after a hour or so and it also feels like my skin is suffocating (might be from the hot weather) anyways I started breaking out. I`ve stopped using it and going back to just sticking with my MD Formulations line…you know the saying “”if it`s not broke don`t try fixing it””! I should never have stopped using my MD to try something new.
