Shower Washes

I’m wondering what people think about shower gels/washes. I always moisterise but there are times when I am in a hurry and only have time to moisterise my arms. I’ve tried a few but haven’t liked them, have you tried any that have made a difference to your skin when you’ve hopped out of the shower?

i only use ones with cocoa butter in them now, they moiturise the skin better and make it makes your skin smell better than most other gels/washes

i recently used a body wash lotion from JOHNSONS skin care range, and it was so nice. I cant remember the exact name, but it was moisturising and left my skin soft and smooth. It also smelt beautiful.

Same Elmo i used to be okay with supermarket shampoo and conditioners until Pantene and then a salon brand that caused my scalp to itch so much i couldn`t sleep!!
My body is sensitive and itchy i don`t dare to use anything on my body but moisturise!

You can develop a sensitivity to anything at any time. I used to be absolutely fine, used all different shower gels all the time – then randomly a few years ago – I became sensitive to sls. The same thing has happened to my mum, after years and years of no problems whatsoever! Like Jane Doe said, a lot of people find shower gels with sls in them much more drying on the skin too. Sulphates are very harsh on our bodies – they`re used because they`re cheap and make things foam.

My scalp has pretty much cracked it with shampoos with sulphates too – so now I have to go sls free shampoo as well!

Palmers have brought out a range of sulphate free washes – thank god! Finally a bigger brand is catching on! 🙂
