My empties this month are pretty simple.

I finished a bottle of The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid, a tub of Eucerin DermoPurifyer Oil Control moisturiser, and a can of Charles Worthington Volume and Bounce mousse. All staples, nothing fancy.

I picked up the Eucerin and the mousse from McGrocer when I was stocking up on tea and porridge oats. Saves me a trip, which is always nice.

The Eucerin one is a repeat buy for me. Keeps my oily skin under control without drying it out to a crisp.

It’s quite hard to test the results of a single product when we’re using a whole arsenal of products daily. Even rotating it in as the only new product makes it difficult to assess.

I felt this way about NIOD Survival 0. It doesn’t have any visible effect on my skin, but I notice that something inexplicably feels off, as though my skin is missing an element when I’m not using it. It was one of the only products I used consistently for years, and I stopped for a couple of months. I can’t even say it was a lack of comfort exactly, but since bringing it back into my routine, it feels like it has normalised a baseline I didn’t realise I relied on.
