Scented Candles, Melts, etc.

I’ve just realized that I’m obsessed with scented candles, oil burner, melts, incense, pot-pourri, linen spray, fragrance diffuser, etc… etc. I actually give different rooms different themed-scents, even the wardrobe and drawers are scented.

Current favourites are In Essence’s Thai Temple candle, lime essential oil, Lotus breeze linen spray, and many many more.

Anyone else shares my obsession?

    Dear eles,
your very welcome I try not to let my disease get in the way of my frienships and even if I am in to much pain to get on the computer I always check to see when the last date a friend sent me an email and if it`s been more then 2 days I worry. I believe everybody has their own story to tell or a burden to bare or a journey they are taking and try not to let my pain effect that. Thank-you very much for the advice on my husbands arthritis, right now he can`t wait till summer as the pain is less in summer. I on the other hand I love winter and am lapping it up while I can and so are my ducks. Speak of the devil I will have to read the other forums in a few minutes as furby one of my ducks is knocking on the door.
    Have a great day!!
    Love Flutter.

    You`re welcome eles.
it depends on what you prefer but into one cup of salts i`d put maybe up to 40 drops of oils, thats roughly 2 ml. I`d use the least amount of Clary Sage as it is relatively potent and can over ride the Neroli. Maybe 5 -8 drops Clary would do the job.

Thanks so much for all your advice Princess75, it makes me feel like running a warm bath. I`m not overly stressed just find it hard to wind down, you know what its like…try to watch up a movie and get up every 10 minutes to do something. I though it would be a good habit to just have a warm bath each night and soak up the aromatherapy benefits. Im a firm believer in the power of medicinal aromatherapy, I appreciate you sharing your knowledge on this which is so impressive. I have some plain mineral salts and love the idea of putting it into the salts. Thought I might try the Neroli, Rose Absolute, Sweet Orange, Clary Sage (sounds yummy) should I just put a drop of each?

And thanks so much Flutter for your advice, its nice of you to share so much when I know you are feeling so low. I don`t get migraines anymore as I take a vitamin blend that stopped them over a year ago, but I do a lot of computer work and get tension headaches sometimes. I prefer natural alternatives rather than just popping a panadol. On the subject of Arthritis for your husband I have been treating a friend with Black Moor. Apparently it elevates the temperature of the body when you bath in it by about 1 degree and as your body senses “”fever”” it releases its own natural cortisones as a response. The cortisones made by your own body reduce the inflammation in the joints. I read that the arthritis and rheumatism foundation in Europe have endorsed it as a therapeutic treatment for the last 30 years and my friend has found it miraculous. She just has a warm bath with black moor once ever two or three days and if it becomes very bad she packs it onto the area like a poultice for 15 minutes.
Thought you might like to know about this.
