Scent fetishists unite!

Have you ever been able to narrow down exactly what smells do it for your olfactory bits? I have a serious fascination with scent and smell and sensation, to the point I stop strangers and ask what they’re wearing or (worse) tell them to do everybody a favour and shower! lol

Just recently, I have started to narrow down which smells work for me… ground cumin in a mortar and pestle… melted dark chocolate with cinnamon (while baking)…

One scent that I really love is the smell of tomato plants. I don’t know if it is in any perfumes but every time I accidently bruise a leaf on my tomato bush I think, man that would make a great perfume.

beautystar, have you ever tried Haus of Gloi Insalata Nocturna perfume oil? I had a sample of it once and it smelled quite tomato-y on me (which I wasn’t overly keen on, personally).

They do sample sizes, and their shipping is pretty reasonable and quick.

    Vanilla, Musk, Coconut and Toast.
A perfume that smells like Toast would be awesome.

Went into a “specialist” perfume store today… how sad that perfumier’s don’t even know what a base note is! *sigh*

Watch the movie Perfume- Story of a Murderer for a new appreciation of the beauty of scent. Its one of my fave’s.

Wow, they really didn’t know what a base note is? Surely they learn that in their training?

I love that perfume movie. I also wanted to read the book, but since I’ve already seen the movie I’m not sure I can be bothered.
