Samples Being Sold in Vending Machines

In America they have started installing vending machines with beauty product samples in them. I think this is a fantastic idea what are your thoughts on this?

I think it would be great to have these in restrooms where if you’re having a beauty emergency you can purchase a sample size of a product. Like if you left your lipgloss at home and are at in event even all the malls and drugstores are closed or not close by, you can just buy a gloss from the vending machine.

Oh I’ve seen these vending machines. I think they are both dangerous and wonderful. You can get anything from earphones and Dr. Dre Beats through to full size beauty products. If you are going through customs and you are limited to your liquids, this is a great way to get your last minute toothpaste, moisturiser, a mask for the plane (that is a once use item), all that kind of fun stuff. My husband hated that I would stop and look but unless you’re going to be in a lounge, who cares?! It’s shopping vicariously until you put your money in, and it’s better than junk food!!!

Wow that sephora vending machine would look great in my bedroom. Its such a handy idea to have little on the go travel products, Melbourne airport and shopping centres have the machines with bright crystal for $4.

I like the idea, however I bet they would only be located in big cities so I would be back to square one anyway, lol

As a vending operator I like to support small business ! Samples for products are a great way of try b4 u buy.. I have so many products I have purchased personally that disagree with my skin so it has been a big waste of $$ but I paid too much to just chuck away… If I had been able to try b4 I buy via a sample , I’d at least buy the best product of the range suitable to my complexion.. Where do u suggest machines to be placed ? Any ideas??

OK I want one…They look like a great idea. If the price was respectable and the sample a decent size I’d be using it all the time. I love samples, it’s so good being able to try all different products and brands without the huge outlay and to see what you like. I don’t care how much the beauty companies are trying to shove it in my face..as far as I’m concerned they can keep shoving away, I cannot get enough beauty.

In many countries the beauty products are sold in the vending machine in which beauty products are agrrendged in a sequence and the customer buy the product with out facing the seller face to face.its amazing and nice.

It happened to me 5 times lol

wow this is awesome! It’s a great way to trial new products without having to buy the full size and you can trial exactly what you want. I’d hate my money to get stuck in one or the product to not come out. That often happens to me with drink machines 😛

In a way that’s cool and in some respects the industry is just shoving it in our faces more telling us we need these products because we’re flawed and need to be ‘sexy’. I can hear a voice in my head saying… ‘OH. Look at this face. You NEED to stop at this vending machine NOW!’

I saw this on another website and I can understand from I, I suppose, a political point of view why these aren’t cool and for people ESPECIALLY in airports why they ARE cool.

It is not just the beauty industry that have these!
I saw a heap of ones selling ipods/earphones/small electronics too!
