Samples available from sites
So…you know how there are many product sites out there? I was wondering if you girls could name a few that you can only get their samples via contacting them.
While some promote their samples, other brands would only give it to ya if you ask for it. Know any websites that do that? :]
I’m asking this because i love samples and always ask about samples via ‘contact us’ while surfing through beauty brands and such.
xx
I think Jurlique does it. Quite a few months back, i asked for a few samples and got them, don’t know if they still do but, hey, doesn’t hurt to ask 😉

Oh one other thing to add to the HATE> HATE those sites that are scams.. offering free samples and you never get anything, they just go and send you CRAP!

I don’t bother, just stick to keeping my eye on the huge “Samples” thread here in the forums, which is always packed with links to free samples and sometimes even more generously full sized trial products also. I can’t complain I have received more than my fair share over the last few years. I just get annoyed at people who are just plain greedy and use multiple email addresses etc to claim more than one, which obviously leaves none for someone else who might genuinely be interested in the product rather than just nabbing a freebie, and greed also sometimes ends up making these companies stop offering samples because they get a riduculous amount of request for the same reason I just mentioned, just to get a freebie instead of having a genuine interest in the product, therefore they stop offering samples to anyone at all. Many companies will gladly send samples, but you need to purchase something first, guess that is the only way they can be certain you are genuine 🙂
I”m a bit like you Mel. I dont really bother emailing, just keep an eye on the Free Sample thread. I did try with Dermalogica though as I wanted to try a product before I went and forked out $60 for it! But Dont have a salon or something I felt I could go into. Didnt really feel comfortable just walking into one and asking for samples. So i just never bothered. I ended up buying the product on ebay and the seller was nice enough to send me 4 or 5 dermalogica samples with my order 🙂 Hey I love a good free sample, but I wouldnt bother if its not something I would even use.
I also get annoyed at people using more than one email address to get several samples. I only ever apply once. Same with competitions (With the exception of that Rimmel one where they mustve had hundreds to give away, where i used my bfs email too to try and win 😛 (so i could try twice a day instead of once – gosh that month it felt like everyone was winning it on BH but me and then like the third last day! Yay! haha) but as soon as I won, I didnt enter again. I know some people won 3 or 4 times. Its just taking it away from everyone else who was still trying)

People do that? I only have one email address which i use and have done so for years…and i thought companies wouldn’t send more then one sample to a certain address. 🙁 greedy, greedy people..
I like to get samples from companies i haven’t heard of ^^ It let’s me test their products so if it’s great, the next time i will definitely consider buying it. It’s a great way for brands that are less known to score more customers and fame in the industry, i mean, would you be willing to spend your money for a brand you’ve never heard of?Have a look on ebay too!
People sell their samples too! I hate that! I only apply for products that genuinely interest me and would consider buying.Me too, can’t see the sense in ordering samples that are just going to go to waste, I have been given so many samples of skincare stuff from my BT friend anyway that I will never get through, lol, but I must admit sometimes I do apply for samples that are bigger than just the sachet type style, mostly to share with others, can’t pass up a good opportunity, but on the same note I too only have the one email addy that I use for everything online. My other email addy is pretty much just used for work and I don’t want spam and junk being sent to that one so I just don’t give it out in online forms etc.
How scabby are those people who sell samples, it is ridiculous!! -

Hi Nadia_779
Moo Goo are very generous with samples if you request them when purchasing one of their other products online. I’ve also had a lot of success with Kosmea – they sent me a wallet containing each of their products to try
Hope this helps!

I got the samples for Kosmea. fell in love with the rosehip oil! i didn’t use it up in a day because there was quite alot. So now i’ve confirmed it: Rosehip oil does great stuff for your skin. :]

Oh I thought i would add that Dermalogica DONT send samples if you ask. They tell you to go to one of the salons that stocks them and request samples there. (Sadface for me!)
Like nadia, i’ve had no success with the emailing for samples 😛 So am excited to hear back from ladies who have !
