Royal Wedding: Excited or overated?

I guess now I’m used to Kate and William and they make a lovely couple.

Love Kate but the advertising is a little in your face.

I like both her dresses but I have always been a huge fan of the old fashion wedding dress like Kates first one.
It kinda reminds me of my communion dress apart from the fact that it has a train and is made with silk and better lace 🙂 and therefore a lot more expensive than mines 🙂

I agree with the other ladies here, I would have liked to have seen more focus on brightening her eyes and less blush. Her hair was pulled back for the wedding which was nice but an updo would have complemented her reception dress better.

She is doesn’t look super skinny, she is super skinny 🙂

The first dress is heavy and ornate and is only for the wedding as she probably finds it hard to walk around in it. She is also likely to need to conform to rules which generally states how the dress should look. Because the reception is more of a party she wore a lighter dress where she could easily walk around in a dance in.

Most women choose to have a change of dress after the wedding and the offical wedding photos. I got changed before we left in the limo …. i had my wedding dress on all night until we left i had a different outfit to go home in …it was still dressy tho…but i gave my mum my wedding gown to look after before the honey moon she took it into the drycleaners straight away! gotta love mums!

Also she went on a slim down apparently…. i saw photos of her way before the wedding and she was a different size than she is in the photos closer to the engagement etc..

Gorgeous dress I have to say. I’d like that one on my wedding day 🙂

I watched the wedding yesterday. I enjoyed it. I did roll my eyes a lot hearing and seeing so much “royal” stuff! I was quite surprised during the ceremony about how old fashionedly religious it was but then it is a private ceremony.

I loved the dress! Kate looked beautiful 🙂 Did anyone else think Kate’s blush should have been a little lighter and more “glowier”?

Lol yes, her blush should have been way lighter. However I think it was packed on because all the flash photography? But on the tv it just looked to harsh. It was such a simple look…. She should have played up her eyes a bit more.

Yeah the blush colour was too dark. I think she could have had a more eye popping look especially with such a simple hair do. I thought an up do would have complimented the dress more. Ar well she looked nice but I guess they hyped it up so much I expected a bit more that’s all.

The second dress was really nice, I actually liked that one more than the first.
