Ricky Gervais and his ‘jokes’

Hollywood takes itself way too seriously.

I agree, they do take themselves too seriously. I think the whole political correctness has gone too far and no one can have any fun any more or even laugh at themselves.

To start off the show he said “it would be a night of partying and heavy drinking or as Charlie Sheen calls it, breakfast!” and don’t forget he introduced Bruce Willis to the stage as Ashton Kutcher’s Dad!
A lot of the stars were shown laughing it off, I think he mostly just offended the association people but they know that’s his style and if you’ve ever seen his stand up shows you know what to expect. They can’t complain though, it got good ratings and everyone is still talking about it.
I love Ricky Gervais we have the same sense of humor but you can’t please everyone. These events are taken so seriously sometimes people need to lighten up a bit and laugh at themselves.

on the news tonight they were talking about how Rick Gervais was making fun of stars such as Johny Depp and Tom Cruise…so they came out and said what we were all assuming!! Though really, there is no more famous Scientologist, is there!

John Travolta as well. He’s also a Scientoligist and there has been a lot of speculation lately as to his sexuality, even though he is also married to a woman.

Hes a comedian, but i mean people have different thoughts on his jokes i thought some where funny! (:

I thought he was pretty funny. People take things way to seriously and i’m sure when they hired Ricky Gervais for the job they knew exactly what they were doing.

Apparently Hugh Hefner loved the jokes Gervais said about him.!

Well I feel for little Suri as she is going to have so many problems to deal with as she grows up. The shopping sprees are bad enough but her ‘family’ is likely to give her a great deal of pain.

it’s not as if it’s never been said before. there’s also been speculation that katie and tom are both paid millions a year to be out as a couple. who knows.

ricky gervais can get away with anything though.

The Golden Globes and the victorias secret fashion show were shown on fox 8, not sure if they will ever be on free to air channels though…

I was jsut about to post that. I watched the victorias secret fashion show sometime before christmas. It was so entertaining. Who would have thought that women walking around in theri undies could be so entertaining! Akon performed Angel and I have never been keen on him but am now obsessed with that song – it fit in perfectly.
