Remmington Straightini Mini Styler – any reviews?

Hi girls, soon I’ll be getting a much needed haircut and I was thinking of buying a straightner so I can make it sit nice when I go out etc. BUT I have never owned a straightner in my life, as I usually just blow dry my hair, it’s pretty straight as it is. I saw “this”:http://www.remington-products.com.au/Haircare/Straighteners/044723.htm in the new Priceline catalogue for $20 and was wondering what you girls think? I don’t need anything heavy duty, wet to straight or anything like that as I probably wouldn’t use it that often and like I said, have straight hair already. This would just be probably straighten the ends a bit so they don’t flick out. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Whoops forgot to mention that eskimo bec – it is also a heat protectant so it`s very handy! My hairdresser uses it before and during. What he`ll do is spray a bit of hair, then wrap it around the irons.

I ended up getting the mini straigtner, but my mum`s going to give it to me for Christmas so have to wait a month or so!
Elmo, that spray starch stuff sounds really good, I looked it up in the products list and it says it also acts as a heat protector, so do you use it before or after you curl?

Eskimo I agree with Style Queen – seeing as your hair is already straight – you prob don`t need to invest that much in a straightener. A mini one is perfect for what you want to do. A suggestion for you, if you find that your hair doesn`t hold the curl very well, try using Redken spray starch – this stuff is insanely good at holding in the curl in your hair, if you find it always drops out!

Thanks for your opinion SQ, I haven`t really looked at any others but might see if Priceline have any different ones and see what the prices are like. I liked the Remington one because it mini, pink and a bargain =D

It looks great eskimo bec. I have used remmington straighteners before and they are a great brand. Mini straighteners are great, me and my sister share one, they work just as good as the normal size ones and are so convenient if you are traveling. heating up within 30 seconds is a great feature as some straighteners take ages. I think it is a great buy, have you compared it to any others price and feature wise?
