Regarding long standing member recognition.
Just a thought-Members who have actively devoted their time and made a valuable contribution to membership in BH,need some loyalty status achievement update.
Perhapes There could be a review of the loyalty system, for when Turquoise is long gone Iit would be lovely to have some merit given to devoted members .Say, for example members with 4-5000 points, this is a massive achievement.
Or maybe a little thank-you once a year, for these truely high standing members could be considered.

I’m glad to read Princess Fiona’s comments about not having much time to spend on BH. Since I started my current job, I’m working at least 10 hours a day as I’m in sales role. I’ve barely had time to do housework, see family, prepare for Christmas and prepare my house for my in laws 3 week visit. Now that I’m on holiday’s I’m trying to spend some time on BH. But I also only read articles and forums that are of particular interest to me. However, everytime I received a Trial team product, I always trialled and reviewed it on time, no matter how busy I was and tried to make the review valuable. I think that valued BH members contribute in many different ways.

Definately not something to feel bad about, and hey PF1 you made it to turquoise darl and that is a huge acheivement on its own, it took me about a year to get there, I know what you mean about pointless posts and rubbish comments just to rack up points but I think if there was a big jump in points after turquoise then only the members who really want to hang around would ever make it to that level anyway, I also still think a time frame should be put into place to stop people getting to the levels so fast, that would stop a fair bit of the nonsense in the forums anyway, lol. Glad to see you pop in whenever you can PF1 🙂

I understand you completely Fiona.
Sometimes we just have too many committments and responsibilities, duties and loyalties its hard to fit everything into every day!
But we should not feel bad for it all. Everything that is important to us eventually gets attended to – including BH! -

I believe that its still not fair to be rewarding people only on the basis of their points….to me, there are many members leaving comments on everything, just for the sake of making a comment, and to me, those comments are of absolutely no value, and they should not be rewarded for accumulating those. I hate to say it, but when Ive been away for a while, or only have limited time, I read the threads Im interested in, and also, I simply skip over the comments from certain members, while I make sure I always read others, as I know they will have something valuable to say.
I also find it sad when I see that unknown members have won something, or even worse are on the trial team. I know that selection are done on the basis of skin type etc, but surely all bases would be covered through the loyal members….?!
What I was also saying earlier, is that I know that there are members, such as you Mel, who contribute so much more than I do, and I honestly feel that you are more deservant of the rewards/trials, but Id more than happy to pay for the priveledge of trialling products (or pay for trialling more than I otherwise would!)My social and private life…. I guess that we just have a large circle of friends that we see regularly for dinners etc. Also being a marketing manager, I do travel a fair bit interstate, and I also get invited to a lot of work functions (I turned down about 6-7 Xmas functions I got invited to!) throughout the year, as well as hubby and I both have good jobs so we often go out for lunches and dinners etc when we are off, and also like getting out and about such as driving to the wineries, or a drive along the coast etc.
I guess also, when I am in the office at work, I sit in front of my computer ALL DAY…40hours a week, excl all the overtime, so when I am at home, there are simply times, however much Im addictedt to BH, that I just cannot be bothered to sit anymore in front of the computer!! -

Good idea about the rotating and only for active members darl. I am not sure about recognition as such for longstanding members the more I think about it because I am sure nobody wants to be singled out and put on some sort of pedestal when we are all equal here no matter how long you have been here, but just something else to strive towards would be challenging and a nice little bonus when you accomplish it, for example mabey a big step from turquoise at 500 points to mabey Platinum at say 5000 points, I don’t know about the points etc but that is just a thought 🙂

this is an interesting thread. I agree with a lot of the comments. There shoudl be some kind of recognition for long standing members. I also think that if not everyone can be on the trial team it is rotated somehow? so everyone gets a turn, but it should be only for the active members. I’m on here everyday ( the joys of being a stay at home mum) and enjoy the information, knowledge and buzz I get from BH…… thanks BH

Stace I have noticed that before and mentioned it in the trial team thread but nobody could explain it, lol. Why would someone still keep getting products to trial with when you can’t check out their reviews as there is none, lol, and they don’t even to have appeared to have been on the site at all either??

I know that I wont be able to spend as much time next year on the forums as I will be working more, but that wont stop me from coming on from time to time when I can.
I do agree with you Mel when you say its more the people that come and leave and enter competitions and thats it.
I am actually really really pleased to see on the who won what page that alot of the forum members have won this past couple of weeks. Very pleased, Well Done.
You make me laugh Jatz, I always say that too… but the girls said it was so good….
