redken anti snap

i recently purchased this for my damaged hair, but for some reason this makes my hair feel like straw! any reason why this could be? i only used a little bit because i know you’re not supposed to put in too much protein, it seems to work really well for my cousin, she gets great results.

Well said Captain Dan, fantastic darl, I guess that is why my hair isn`t straw like, I only ever use it on damp hair and I rarely use a dryer/strraightener. Also I keep using my DeLorenzo Rejuven8 the ends on my hair after it is dry and for styling 🙂

Hi guys, I have been using this product religiously for 3 years now (thats how long ago I went blonde) and I agree that if you use to much it goes dry, but my hairdresser assures me it is because it has a high protein content and its like if you were to iron egg whites and they go stiff (strange way of putting it I know) but basically if you use products with a lot of protein in it a lot, you will notice when you blowdry/ straighten your hair, it will almost feel like straw.
In saying that, the protein does help restructure your hair, and keep it from snapping, and all you have to do to fix the strawness, is make sure you use the anti-snap on damp hair, and if you intend on drying it, use your heat protection products. This will ensure a nice smooth finish with healthy strong hair.
    Hope this helps! 🙂
