Quitting Smoking today!
Decided after too many years as a smoker it was time to quit. It’s the only un healthy vice in my life and jut doesn’t make me feel good anymore.
Any one else quit smoking? Can give me advice or encouragement. It’s going to be very hard. 🙁

Congratulations Mikarla….it`s hard but keep at it. I gave up 12 years ago…..I found the first 3 months the hardest but it does get better. I bought one of those smiley squishy balls and squished him whenever I was just sitting or felt like a smoke. His face did slightly change after all the squishing I did to him though. lol
Chew gum, suck lollies. Even sucking on a Chuppa Chup is great.
It`s not until that you have stopped smoking that when you stand next to a smoker, you think ewwwwwwww the smell. I thought…..OMG>>>>did I smell like that????
I am so glad that I gave it up but I think its a just take one day at a time….and give yourself a reward at the end of the week. -

Good for you Mikarla! You`ve made a very positive step towards a better future for yourself. My husband and I have finally given up smoking following several unsuccessful attempts. We realised that we just NEED to stop smoking and all the excuses in the world aren`t good enough to keep doing it. We know too much about how bad it is for you. We are about 3 months smoke-free now and going strong. You stay strong too, and all the best to you ♥♥♥

Awww thanks guys. I have successfully made it to day two, 39 hrs without a cigarette. Surprisingly not as hard so far as i thought it would be because i think i`m really ready to quit. I keep thinking theres something i should be doing right now- but i just keep telling that voice no i dont do that any more.
Sparkles: shoes defineatly will be one of the first purchases ha ha. Thanks for the support.
Ray_jay: I`m sorry for your friend
, its strange what we will do to ourselves despite a wealth of education. I hope im lucky enough to repair any damage i have done and start a healthy lifestyle now. Better late than never. -

I think this is fanstatic Mikarla.
A friend of mine at 38 has been diagnosed with lung cancer and early stage emphysema due to smoking since she was 19. It just shows you that while it might make you feel good the long term health effects outweigh that feeling.
If you ever have any moment where you want to start smoking again, think about your health and yourself,, and how this may effect you in the future. Its really not worth it at all.Good luck and im sending lots of positive vibes your way

I really don`t have any advice to offer, I have never been a smoker. But I really felt the need to congratulate you on such a positive and life changing decision!
I can only imagine how difficult it can be but there are SO many positives to come from this (think of all the shoes you can buy with the $ you save =D
Congratulations and best of luck, we are all behind you Mikarla xxxx

I quit smoking 2 years ago. I just decided that the packet I had was going to be the last one I ever bought. So I slowly finished that packet and have never had a smoke since. I think at the time I was ready as I never had cravings or wanted a cigarette at all and I still don`t.
I think you just need to be ready within yourself to give up. I didn`t use any aids at all.
Buy some hard lollies or lollypops.
Good luck.
