Pimple squeezing gone wrong

I know I shouldn’t squeeze my pimples but sometimes I give in to temptation (and always regret it)

Any tips on what to do with a pimple once you’ve squeezed it and totally aggravated it (made it red, sore, bleed etc.) to stop it from scarring/getting worse/getting infected?

I agree that moisturising helps prevent pimples. But face must be well cleansed before applying moisturiser.

I have been using one of those pimple remover divices lately, I got it from priceline. I used to use my fingers but now I use that device dipped in my Benzoyl peroxide solution. They heal up alot faster than if I used my fingers and leave less marks/scarring.

There is no way I can leave puss filled pimples on my face without getting rid of them. Yes I know I’m bad but they look yuk compared to a red spot. Here’s the picture of what I use thes days!

Lol, i think my mum had one…
How much did you buy it for at priceline?

I’ve had one for so long I can’t remember the price but I think they are around $10.

I think the best thing to do is to wait at least 24 hours before putting anything on it at all, still cleanse your skin but avoid the area. Once you’ve done that apply something calming and soothing, like aloe vera cream/gel, a slice of cucumber, a cream with Calendula , Chamomile, or Lavender. Avoid cleansing until you see an improvement with the irritation (generally 2 to 3 days). Then continue on with your normal skincare routine, but put on your soothing product on the area instead of anything else. Once it has completely gone go back to your normal skincare routine completely.

Also do not dry it out with anything, that’s the worst thing to do if you dry it out all that will happen is your skin well get confused and develop another pimple, if you are going to use a drying method MAKE SURE YOU MOISTRUISE!

It sounds strange but I use day cream or eye cream on pimples! it really works! I have been using the estee lauder day cream all over my face and I havent had a break out since ive used it. Not even my usual monthy one. hahaha it really is worth a try! 🙂

If I squeeze them (yes I cant stand pus!) I dab a cotton tip with some tea tree or eucalyptus oil, and this will heal the skin and also prevent infection. I found eucalyptus oil good, just dab some on, it doesn’t sting.

I only use mine for the really bad blackheads lol

I use mine mainly for black heads as well and sometimes for ingrown hairs.

You can still dry it out after poking at it by applying a spot treatment containing salycylic acid 2%, or one with both salycylic acid and glycolic acid. Sometimes it can hurt, but I think it kills germs. Then if its dry the next day apply some moisture to it.
