Opinions on eyebrow makeup?

Hi girls. My latest battle is to tackle eyebrows ok so I’m a newbie at some things, but experienced in others. I want to know which products you prefer using… eg an eyebrow pencil, or eyebrow mascara?

How do you apply it? Do you just fill in partial area of the eyebrow or the whole thing? How dark are your eyebrows? What is your skin complexion?

My mums tip is to fill in the brow from the inside of the brows, but not outward toward the sides of ur face (if your brows are defined enough). Do you agree or disagree with this? I do not usually use eyebrow makeup, but I’m curious to know what works best to experiment with it. How thick would you draw the lines compared to your eyebrow thickness?

I have naturally thick eyebrows so when I got them waxed for the first time when I was 12…? I was so happy to not have those ugly caterpillars on my face anymore.
But when I tried filling them in they looked like caterpillars again!
I never go near my eyebrows, I just don’t see the need too.

I have light hair so i have to lighten my black eyebrows to a dark brown. I have pretty sparse brows – theres not much grown on top, but i use a brown almay pencil, smudge some onto a eyebrow brush and just brush my eyebrows following the shape i want. i focus on my arch because thats where im short a few hairs! looks totally natural because i just brush it in rather than drawing on my brows. Benefit have a nice little brow set with shadows, tweezers and wax…

An eyeshadow gives a softer look. I do this as one of my brows is quite sparse compared to the other. It just grows like that. It evens them out. I find a pencil can work okay for me too – i use an australis one when i do. Make sure you go for something a bit lighter – if its light you can build it up – if its too dark, it can look too overdone. Takes some practice to get it looking right 🙂

Oh and if you use a shadow, make sure its matte! We dont want sparkly brows!

I like to shade into my brows daily with a medium brown ! Makes my face framed!

My brows are quite dark and I have very pale skin. I like to define them because I think it draws more attention to my eyes and makes me look better overall.

I use a mineral powder from everyday minerals with an angle brush. I find this works perfectly for me. I hate using pencils on my brows.

I’ve got dark brows with a naturally nice shape so I just tame them with clear mascara and tweeze the hairs that sometimes grow in a weird spot. I have tried filling them in, but can never find a good colour and I think you need to have Camilla Belle’s features to pull off the filled dark brow. I always end up looking really surprised or like Frida Kahlo.

I think eyeshadow creates a more natural look for your eyebrows. Just hate the tweezing part, I’m always scared of overdoing it.

I use a light brown eyebrow pencil every day, and fill in with a matte eyeshadow or blush if I want some extra kick.

I have very fair, sparse brows but am liking a loreal brow stylist that i have just started using. Its a soft pencil thats easy to use and I can’t really apply to much or get it wrong as the colour is a good match. Has tweezer & brush on it to so great all in one!

I have naturally light hair with naturally light eyebrows. I use a matte brown eyeshadow to fill in my brows and give them colour. I don’t make them thicker or too dark, just enough to contrast well with my hair colour and skin tone. On clients I will generally use a pencil and set it with a clear mascara/brow gel.
