OGX & Maui Moisture member feedback

Hi beauties,

Hope you’re well 🙂

Just popping in here to ask some questions surrounding the brands OGX & Maui Moisture and pick your beauty brains on those brands!

We were hoping some of our members could help us by letting us know:
– Your attitudes and thoughts towards the products
– Whether you have purchased it in the past
– What you expect from a shampoo / conditioner brand?
– Whether you’ve even heard of Maui Moisture?

Looking forward to reading some of your experiences and answers regarding this!

thanks,
Eleni x

In the past, I have used OGX shampoo and conditioner with macadamia oil. At the time when I started using it, my hair was flat. After using it, my hair seemed healthier and had more volume in it and was shinier. I have heard of Maui but have not used it. When it comes to shampoo, I have really itchy scalp at this time so I have been using shampoo for sensitive scalps. I like to use products that are volumising and bring shine to my hair. I also like to use gentle shampoos. I like to use something which has mostly natural ingredients

Just found out that my daughter has been using OGX Kukui Oil Curl Cream and there is about 1/4 of the bottle left so she must be okay with it. I’ll have to ask her as she is the only one with curls in this house.

I’ve heard of maui moisture I think from being on the natural / eco beauty websites

I’ve just found an OGX product that’s not listed on bh that I am not too much of a fan of and that’s why I put it away in a box with some other hair stuff – it’s a spray oil and it’s just that I don’t really want to spray a mist of oil in the bedroom as it could build up on the carpet and make a mess – in fact in the bathroom last thing I want is slippery tiles etc. You get the drift. So it’s probably oky for my hair but not the floor. I’ve never been able to review it because it’s not on here – it’s the Biotin & Collagen Weightless Healing Mist.

Actually I just realised the Green Tea and Fitness dry shampoo that I’ve been using lately that’s sitting on my dresser right now is by OGX and I have been loving it!

I have been using OGX Bioten & Collagen Shampoo 385 ml and OGX Bioten & Collagen Conditioner 385 ml.

For a couple of months now I find that they make my hair feel Soft also they are definitely making my hair much Thicker as well. My hair at the moment has been thinning out I have had a lot of hear loss.
These are the reasons that I have been using the OGX Bioten & Collagen Shampoo and Conditioner 385 ml.

Haven’t heard of Maui Moisture at all.

The only other brand that I have been using is HASK Biotin Boost Thickening 5-in-1 Leave in Spray 175 mL

I have not used OGX since hearing bad things. I didn’t know they owned Maul Moisture. I liked that brand, their bottles are cool.

J&J owns both OGX and Maui Moisture.

I use OGX along with quite a few J&J brands but I’m considering other brands as I don’t like J&J’s ethics surrounding their talcum powder.

I’ve used OGX and don’t rate it. It made my hair even frizzier, gave dandruff and my hair brittle. I also don’t like sulphates in my hair products.

I look for sulphate free in my hair care and at the moment am using a shampoo and conditioner from the same range in a brand but that’s not something I necessarily look for, whatever works best is my goal.

I have heard of Maui Moisture but have never tried and it’s unlikely I ever will.

I have used the OGX moroccan argan oil shampoo and conditioner but to be honest I cant remember very much about it.
I do have a bottle of the OGX tsubaki blossom Shampoo and Conditioner and sample bottles of the Maui Moisture Shea Butter shampoo and conditioner. I also have a bottle of the Maui Moisture Volcanic Ash Conditioner. Ive not tried any of these as yet. These were all part of gift bags from Priceline and Chemist warehouse. The Maui Moisture Volcanic Ash Conditioner I notice says ‘Silicone free’

From my shampoo and conditioner I expect that my hair will feel lovely and soft and of course clean. I can tend to have issues with my scalp so I also want products that dont upset my scalp.

I’ve heard too much negative comments about OGX so I’m going to avoid using it as I’ve tried it in the past but it’s too oily for my hair type. I’ve never heard of Maui Moisture?
