multi vitamins

just wanted to know if anyone could recommend a good multi vitamin to take. i have a pretty well balanced diet however at times I’m feeling a little flat and out of energy so I’d like to take some vitamins just to boost my energy levels. BH has the blackmores range on this site. there are so many out on the market I’m not sure which one to go for. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks 🙂

I`m a pharmacist and I had studied Western Herbal Medicine as well. To be honest if you are good with your diet and have a mix of raw and cooked diet you generally find that you don`t really need extra boosts because your body tends to store most vitamins (except for Vitamin C because they are delicate antioxidants)
But if you really want one, most in Australia are good (blackmores, Natures own, Swisse are Australians) and you don`t have to take it everyday because no one eats the same vegetable everyday and it`s best not to let your body get used to having everything served readily as it will make your body assume it will have everything it needs everyday and stop extracting nutrients from food efficiently.
    hope that helps.

I have tried many chemist and practitioner multivitamins and completely agree that Eagle Tresos B is fabulous!! I take one tablet everyday and Lifestream Spirulina capsules and Inner Health Plus. Since starting on this combination 6 months ago (recommended by a naturopath) I`ve noticed a real difference in my energy and wellbeing.

I swear by tressos B, it`s an excellent multivitamin.. It has a higher concentration than all other brands which is why you can only buy it at pharmacies or natural food stores which have a naturopath. My naturopath put me on them as I told him centrum wasn`t making a difference, and I have never looked back. Within a month my energy levels were soo much higher than before and I just felt better (felt better after 2 weeks). It`s not cheap tho, a bottle of 100 costs about $50 I think.

UltraMega for Men…by GNC. I think that`s a good one. Other than that, I`m not all that familiar with men`s supps. Hope that helps! Read more multivitamin reviews. Go to http://www.best-multivitamins-guide.com

I take one in liquid form called HIVITA LiquiVita. It`s available in healthfood shops and is fantastic. When it`s taken daily I can really notice a difference – I have a lot more energy.

I have taken Centrum, Blackmores for Women, and Cenovis – all relatively the same in terms of how I felt.
I have heard Swisse Womens Ultivite is excellent, although I havent taken it myself. A bit expensive? But i guess you have to pay more for more quality.
That`s not to say I like putting junk in my body!

Maybe my diet is already nutritious and energetic enough and thats why I dont feel a sudden improvement from taking multis.

i love Swisse products the best. they have done hundreds of studies on their formula and i find it to be the best.i`ve tried blackmores herron, cenovis, etc. but swisse is my fave. vital greens powder is also good but a bit pricey.
