Looking for a liquid foundation

Hey beauties!
I was hoping to get some advice about a good quality liquid foundation that I could try.
I have combination skin – (I think….it is sensitive but oily around the T zone) and I am looking for something to give me medium coverage when I’m going out. I also want something build-able.
For a couple of years I have been using the Mac select tint 15+ but haven’t been that impressed with its performance so I am looking to try something new. Any suggestions on a good quality foundation would be greatly appreciated 🙂 Thanks in advance!

I’ve recently been using Maybelline’s Dream Smooth Mousse. It’s so nice and hydrating for a compact cream foundation. I don’t think it would be for everyone though as it is quite a sheer cover, even when I try building it up, nothing much changes but I use a little swipe of powder over top and it looks good.

    Hi 🙂

I previously used Mac too, but for the past year year I’ve been using Body Shop’s oil balancing foundation. It’s really light and good for sensitive skin, but perhaps not so great coverage-wise.

    Hope that helps! 🙂

    Hi !!!! 😀

I thought I would add some nice foundations to this lovely list! 🙂

Old one would be – Covergirl Continuous wear… now only available on EBay because it may be disc but it was great!

Rimmel Stay Matte – seemed great, tried it out..pretty darn fabulous for the price! use with their Translucent pressed powder for a flawless finish.

Dr Weils Origins Foundation (Available… maybe only online but check with DJ’s Pitt Street)

My favorite is Givenchy Photo Perfexion SPF20, I used this for YEARS overseas.. I first tried this in 2006 in the Asian region…. and it seems JUST now to be released in Australia… everyone say YAY! and Thank Goodness, about time! Because it’s truly amazing, giving you Liv Tyler skin for real.

Another priceless foundation, from Korea… Shhhh! Etude House,
BB creams. Total Age Repair SPF45/PA+++
We would be BLESSED if Etude House ever reaches Australia in person it’s fantastic! Available online only at this point.

    Hello 🙂

A great foundation that I’ve been using for the past 6 months is illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation. It is definitely my favourite foundation of all time, it’s a very full coverage, it makes your skin look absolutley flawless!! Like a porcelain doll I promise you, you won’t be disappointed. Another great thing about this foundation is that it smells great! it smells like a moisturiser and it also glides on very easily like satin, though you would want to use some type of buffing brush to really work the product into your skin because it is quite thick. I’ve used Many Mac foundations in the past, and I love them but they certainly don’t compare to illamasqua in my opinion, Try it for yourself and you’ll see what I mean, have a look on youtube review there a plenty of positive ones on there 🙂 you can buy the foundation from http://www.beautybay.com.au or http://www.illamasqua.com

Thank you so much for all your help ladies! I really appreciate it 🙂 I ended up going with a clinique foundation as a lot of people recommended it, however I am also going to try the revlon colourstay cos that seemed to be a very popular choice too. Thanks again for all your help, I am so glad I discovered this website 🙂

I have combination skin and i use Rimmel match perfection foundation. I believe it is amazing for it’s price. When buying a foundation i also considered Maybelline Superstay..it was too messy so i bought the Rimmel one. Match perfection gives really good coverage and is not too oily

I love Clinique Anti Blemish too, but I find it’s a bit too mattifying if you don’t have proper oily skin. So I’ve gone back to Clinique Even Better , it also has SPF 15 I think, which the Anti-Blemish doesn’t, and is also suitable for sensitive, combination skin! 🙂

Mirenesse has a few different liquid foundations that a really good. One in particular that would be good for combo skin would be their Liquid Silk Mineral Foundation – No Oil. My daughter uses it and loves it. It has great coverage and staying power.

I really like the clinique anti blemish foundation it leaves my skin clear and helps absorve oil and goes on very nice, but its a bit pricey though (you can purchase it at myers and terry white)
