Long lasting lipcolour

We always see ads for long lasting lipsticks and lipgloss that apparently stays on even after eating and drinking. I was wondering if this was actually true and if so, which brands are the best?

Sorry if there’s already a thread about this, but I couldn’t seem to find one

I’ve tried some of those ones that you apply the colour, then the gloss in a couple of brands and they dry my lips out so much. One even made my lips peel. But yes the colour stayed put…

Estee lauder lipsticks stay on for about 4-5 hours, which I think is pretty decent. I’ve found them to be very moisturising and I love the colours. It doesn’t leave crack marks on your lips and it looks glossy. Retouching everything 4-5 hours doesn’t bother me because the quality of these lipsticks is sensational.

I just got a models prefer lipstick in a pack. The eyeshadows are good but the lippy is soooooooo crap.

I bought some clearance lippy’s from america and they seriously stained my lips for ages. I put pink on at night and woke up in the morning with the colour still on my lips. The brand is Lori Anne.

I find that maybelline do a really great lipcolour with staying power. Seriously stayed put, after eating and drinking!
I have tried one from covergirl as well, but that lasted less well…

I agree. It is a struggle to find a lipstick that actually lasts during the day. I have tried all the common brands and have never achieved a long-lasting lip colour. I’ve tried colouring my lips with lip liner before applying the lippy, that helped a little but I still find myself re-applying quite often. Also, my lips are so dry! It’s very hard to find a lippy that does all that.

Most of the lippies that claim to last all day are real drying to the lips i find. I have bought a few that claim to last all day (which dont) all they seem to do is dry out my lips, then i find i have to use a moisturiing lip balm for most of the day. Even when i have applied my lip balm first then the lippie i still find this drying 🙁

Me either, everything comes off, best to try a lip stain with a lipstick on top at least that way you will still have a slight wash of colour on your lips that you can just top up later 🙂

I have been a lippie junkie for years and have not found anything that stays on all day. The only product that I think stays on reasonably well is a lipstain but I don’t like it as it is far too drying. So I just have to accept that you need to reapply especially after eating.

The only lipstick that stays on all day for me is Chanel Coco Rouge. Amazing colour range and great formulation that sticks. Got to love that. =)

    Oh yes ‘those’ ads :p

I have found some Avon lipsticks really do stayput! I think they’re called Perfect Wear however they can be a little drying (as I think most stay put ones can be). 🙂
