There are alot of good lip balms out there. But I recommend the ones that have SPF in it for that added sun protection. I actually like (for an inexpensive brand) palmers coco butter it has a nice smell to it.
I dont recommend ones like the body shop as i find that they can dry out your skin and not replenish moisture.
Also I find vasoline can be a tad greasy

i am another paw paw cream devotee, however yesterday i might have found the bestest lip balm ever. it`s from a brand called nature`s child, and the product is called bottom balm. obviously it`s meant to be for nappy rash, i haven`t tried it on baby`s bot yet so i don`t know what its like for that. however, i tried some on my lips, and it`s bloody amazing. they immediately felt softer and smoother, and the feeling lasts well beyond the initial application. i last put it on at baby`s bed time last night, and my lips still feel soft! at $15 it`s rather steep just for lip balm, but if you have a baby, it`s an excuse to try it! ;0) the base is almond oil, it`s all organic, no alcohol or sythetic fragrance.

I would recommend blistex like a few other people have said, pawpaw ointment, and also chapstick.
I have tried all of these and have found them to be very effective.
If you might something a litle mroe summery however I would go for lip balms from the body shop which smell and look delicious on!
