Kiss & Tell
Hi everyone. I’ve been really bored lately and because I like writing, I started a story. Seeing as I don’t know any of you, I figured this was the best way to see if anyone thought it was good or not. lolol. weird, yes. But anyways, if youre bored to, have a read 🙂 Thanks 🙂
It was the first day back at school. Everybody was eager to see their friends and go back to their cliques. Everybody except Maggie Lovett. She stood by as students rushed past her. The guys gave hi fives to eachother and started playing around immediately. The girls pulled eachother in for hugs, talking about what they did together the previous day.
But still, she stood by. She didn’t know anyone and no-one knew her. Georgina Lovett, Maggie’s mother, had been offered a new job. The only problem was, it was in a brand new town. Maggie hadn’t been extremely excited about the idea of leaving her friends, of leaving her boyfriend, of leaving her life. But, as her mum had said, ‘it was for the best.’
The bell rang as she looked down at the timetable. She could barely understand the stupid thing. She didn’t bother trying to figure out what class it was, as the code assigned to it made no sense. So instead, she just looked at what she thought was the room number and followed that. Sure enough, she’d made the right decision as she heading inside of the class, which she found out was actually English.
The teacher assigned her a seat and added her name to the roll. She had been seated next to a tan skinned, dark haired girl by the name of Anna. She took her seat and was immediately acknowledged. “Hi!” said Anna, a bit to enthusiatically. Maggie couldn’t help but giggle quietly. “Hi” she replied. “I’m Maggie.” Anna smiled and put her hand out to be shaken. “Well, hi Maggie, I’m Anna. Welcome to Lucas Heights High.” She said as Maggie shook her hand slowly.
The rest of the time spent in class passed quickly, and soon it was time for lunch. “Do you want to sit with us for lunch?” Anna asked. Maggie smiled, thankful she wouldn’t be a loner and that she had made a friend already. “Sure.” She replied. Together they walked down the hall of C block, through the small, outside garden and into the cafeteria.
Anna spotted the rest of her friends instantly and dragged Maggie to the table. “Hey guys, this is Maggie.” said Anna. The rest of the table waved and smiled. Anna started introductions. “Thats Emily, Belle, Sienne, Bailey and Tamara.” said Anna, quickly pointing to each girl. As Maggie sat down, Sienne and Bailey moved around to sit next to her. They started making conversation like where she was from, why she was here, what she did over the holidays. The two were friendly and Maggie could tell they would be better friends.
Meanwhile, a few tables over, Connor Mills and Nate Simons, sat talking about their own holidays. Nate was the first to notice the new addition to Anna’s table. “Looks like your girlfriend has a new friend.” Nate pointed out, in the middle of conversation. Connor and Anna were a very well known item throughout the school. It came with the popularity. Connor turned to look, then turned back. “So she has.” Nate studied her a bit more. “Y’know, she’s pretty hot.” Connor rolled his eyes.
“Dude, she’d never go for you. She seems to be best friends with Sienne, oh wait, your ex girlfriend.” Nate laughed. “That doesn’t change anything. I’m in love.” Nate laughed, fluttering his eyelids stupidly. “It does change everything. You’re a liar and a cheat.” Connor pointed out. “Come on now, you’re sounding a bit like Sienne.” Nate joked. “I bet you anything, I could have her go with me to the formal at the end of this year.” Connor snorted. “As if.” Nate stared at him straight in the eyes. “I bet you $100 that the new girl will be my date to the formal.” Connor looked at him and saw that he was serious. He put out his hand and said “You’re on.” The two shook hands and laughed. “You know, guys aren’t supposed to kiss and tell.”
