Keloids- Help Needed! =[

I am hoping someone can help me, or has been in the same boat. I have a few keloids on my back alongside bad acne, with the most annoying one right on my right upper chest area and it makes it impossible to wear bikinis because of its size. Are there any creams, natural therapies or beauty treatments people have used to remove them completely?

Hi Sam, I realise this most is 6 months old but I just came across it. If you are still looking for a treatment option, I have had a keloid scar completely flattened by having ablative laser treatments combined with corticosteroids injections. I felt like the laser was more effective than the injections. I did this around 8 years ago and the keloid never grew back.

@SamKringle – my 3-year-old son had a scar from an accident he had right on his hip. As it healed, a keloid lump formed, and I had no idea how to help him. My GP suggested I try Dematix Silicone scar gel and I used to have to just rub it over the keloid. That silicone worked a treat, but it doesn’t happen overnight. I had to rub it in for quite a while to even see some improvement. I just know that my son who is in his 30s now said so glad you did something for it.
Good luck with how you go too.

Hi @SamKingie, I am not sure how well they work but I have been told the Kelo-Cote scar treatment from Chemist warehouse is marketed for keloid scars or Dematix Silicone scar gel or another alternative is Cica Care gel sheets.
    Hope they help.

I wish I could help, @SamKingie. I wear an elbow-length rashie & knee-length boardies whenever I expose my unearthly whiteness at the beach or pool, haha!

I’m blemish-prone, but only on my face & (rarely) neck, so I use Clearasil cream. But it would be hard to apply it to your back without assistance. For the bacne, have you considered a medicated face wash?

Regarding your keloids, women with visible caesarean scars rock bikinis, so I wish you had the self-confidence to say: So what? – I’ll wear a bikini anyway! Of course, that’s easy for me to say. I hope you don’t think I’m being flippant because I’m not. Life can leave us battle scarred, visibly & invisibly, because life isn’t fair. I hope somebody can present a helpful answer for your keloids.

    Good luck, @SamKingie!
