just for fun – winter warmers!
Hey all 🙂
so since its almost winter i thought it would be fun to have a funky little fashion thread. I love clothes & creating outfits and though the 3 word story and the ‘first word that comes to mind’ threads were really great on the forums.
so this thread is for you winter accessories that keep you warm, you can say what youre wearing today to work, at home, whereever 🙂 and you can post photos if you like too!
so to kick it off…
my essentials are:
white cable knit gloves
cream matching scarf with bobbles
and thick black socks

yes definitely a good movie is very warming.
just wanted to bump this thread up a little…
if theres one thing i cant stand is when you pull out most of your stockings for winter on a cold morning and theyre basically all ripped ripped.
even though i usually go for the ones with the higest denier count but they still get ripped. somehow caught on jewelry or whatever they can attach themselves on to.
just wondering if anyone know of some tips that are ‘anti rip stockings related’? 😀I have the same gripe with stockings Beautyjunkie! I guess we just have to be very carefull with them, especially when putting them on. I also make sure to wash them in a lingerie bag so they don’t get caught in the machine.
This is something that always bothered me also!
ripping or ruining all the hose etc , either in the cleaing or more for me just putting them on. and thne i just also gave up trying, wearing them with shoes, even any of my open ones, back at least 5yrs ago and just decided to let my feet brave the cold lol.
there wasnt much point since iw as doomed to risk tearing them anyway. If it’s been 5 years since you’ve purchased stockings, you might want to give another go Tig! I’ve found that over the last couple of years especially, the quality has improved heaps with the cheaper brands. I don’t seem to shred half as many as I used to!!
I bought some opaque varieties from Target a few weeks ago and am super impressed with the quality. It seems they’ve come some way in fixing the snagging stockings problem down there at the RazzaMattaz factory lol!lol thanks for the tips and update on that spunk but its not prob going to make a difference for me. im going to have isues with anything like that, to put on my feet anyway.
Remember, i only wear open shoes always also.btw- this whole winter dresing talk, (im soo not for winter lolz) it reminds me of something i read about the way women coverup and the view men have of it seasonally – im gonna find it and post it.
That sounds like an interesting article, looking forward to reading it! Oh & of course I know your a dedicated open shoe gal, but I thought I could encourage you to deviate. Ever since I found out your in Melbourne I simply shiver just thinking about your cold feet!!
lol ur such a sweetie. and i know we do share a fair few fashion common loves.
hey, if ur ok with it – drop me a msg/mail at long_claw_nat at hot… and ill explain a lil more ;P and im also going to find the magazine lil blurb thing with the factoid.would love to have a look at the article too, it sounds really interesting 🙂
i have found that dry skin on my hands are bad for stockings and chipped nails too. maybe appluing moisturiser before might help 🙂 -
