titanic was good and based on historical event, but Avatar is better i think. Love the futuristic aspect and the basic human/planet themes running through it not to mention the great filming techniques. I didn’t find it boring at all either 🙂

I watched this in IMAX 3d and agree the effects were amazing! Really impressed me, storyline was ok, I liked the underlying message it was trying to make. I also watch something once and am over it but this i’d probably watch again especially if it’s IMAX 3d, i just hope it didn’t lose it’s punch in 2d as it would be a shame. I’m holding out for Alice in Wonderland next, saving to go see that one in IMAX 3d without a doubt, it’s 3d preview looked great! It’s a 2 1/2 hour trip for me to get to our closest IMAX and Avatar is the first 3d IMAX full length feature i’ve watched (apart from short doco’s years ago) so it’s not something i’d do often but for Alice i’m willing to travel if i get the chance.

Haven’t seen it yet. Man James Cameron always has a big budget on his movies and usually is successful.
I think the storyline is pretty predictable but sure has attract a large audience.
I was watching a behind-the-scene clip and a lot of characters are performing in a fluro green background (you know the ones that are used to add CGI) plus they also have cables and attachments stuck all over them while they act!
It must be hard to play a character and to be in an environment where you have to imagine it rather than visually see it.
