I’ve lost my make-up bag

I’ve lost my make-up bag and I’m devastated! I was finally happy with all the products in there.
I cannot afford to replace them all at once, so can you suggest which products (and brands) I need as staples and which ones I should buy over the coming months, maybe 1-2 at a time??

Aww, that would be hard to take. All that money gone out the window!

The first purchases would ABSOLUTELY be a mascara, powder foundation, lipbalm and a neutral eyeshadow palette.

Definitely try Priceline – they stock reaally affordable and quality stuff. Covergirl and Maybelline mascaras are a few of the best out there, some Savvy, Face of Australia or Australis powders are great. Many BHers on here say Savvy have got some really nice shadows too.

Priceline has a lot of 3 for 2 and gift with purchase deals going on. Bourjois, Loreal and Covergirl are brands to look out for (in my opinion) they are always good quality, cheap/reasonably priced and never let me down.

Also Priceline has the bargain bins where you can get products like eyeshadow, blush, lipgloss and lipstick for $2, so that way you can get loads of fun colours to play around with and it won’t cost an arm and a leg.

    Hope this helps 🙂

Sorry to hear this i would be devistated if this happened to me.
My never fail items are either tinted moisturiser or foundation depending on the season, a blush/bronzer, mascara, eyeliner and a clear or coloured gloss. these are all avaliable for relitivly cheap prices at priceline so it depends if your fussy because you can get a be yourself foundation for like $8 and the other items can be $5 and under. I love bourjois so if u wait for them to come on special u can just get all your essentials through them for under $50 all up if you do it at the right time like when they have a 3 for 2 offer. hope this helps.

I think get like, a cheapie set for a while, like, a palette with everything, and then eventually build up. So that will give you eyeshadows, liner, mascara, lips, and blush usually. For the one item, get a good primer because a primer like the one from loreal professionals (or whatever its called) actually does even out skin tone, and brighten skin. In my opinion, this is better then having a foundation without bronzer or blush. Otherwise, get a foundation, but with a bronzer/blush so you don’t look washed out.

Also, you should totally get a lip balm, any cheap chapstick, which will moisturise and add a bit of a tint. If you’re anything like me, your lips will dry and crack from the constant air con.

Sorry if I sounded bossy, good luck!

Sorry to hear that Gaino. There are some great suggestions here already.

Bloom has 2 makeup palettes (glamour or natural) which look easily transportable and seem to have everything except mascara ,moisturiser and foundation.
It will cost you $39 and then you can get reasonably priced tinted moisturiser and mascara at Priceline.
    If you’re online go to:

Natio are Australian, well priced and currently have gift with purchase at Myer, DJ’s and selected pharmacies. I’d buy a good sunscreen/moisturiser combination, then possibly a powder/foundation compact. Good luck, I really feel for you.

I would check out which brands currently have a gift with purchase – these can be a good way or replacing a whole range of things at once quite economically.

The same thing happened to me a few years back Gaino. Very frustrating!
