Is the earth coming to an end?

Many people have predicted that the world will come to an end in 2012. What do you think about this?

Lol nah, i think it’s just global warming…
instead of everyone being worried (peoplle these days..) they should probably be contributing to helping global warming not worsen.

I do not think, this is going to happen…and if it really happens, none of us are going to know or even feel it. Can anyone predict what is going to happen the next moment?

Thats great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, an
aeroplane - Lenny Bruce is not afraid. Eye of a hurricane, listen to
yourself churn - world serves its own needs, don
    t misserve your own
    needs.

lol Stay C. I remember they put out forms and fridge magnets with checklists of what we needed in the house – like extra bottles of water, tins of food etc. I’m pretty sure people even built shelters.

mel – It’s funny what some people tell their children! It is quite terrifying being told that stuff when you are young. My friend said something like the devil was going to come to earth and behead everyone who wasn’t a believer. I would lie awake at night worrying!

I know some religions push such strong beliefs on their children, which is fine but they shouldn’t be encouraged to frighten other children with it, after all religious views are very powerful and probably too much for any child to take in who has not been brought up knowing any different. My mum said I had nightmares for a while after that incident.

I don’t know if anyone here is a JW but I was talking to a friend who is a believer and apparently they believe it is going to be judgement day or something and Jehovah is going to only open the gates to those who believe in him???? I guess I will be getting locked out then 🙁

I guess 99.99% of the world won’t get in either. I remember my friend (who was a JW) told me a similar story when I was 10, and it frightened the life out of me. She said it would happen in the year 2000, but it looks like it never did 😛

Funny you should say that darl because I vaguely remember playing at a JW friends house as a child and coming home in tears because I was told something along those lines also. I was not allowed to play there after that either, can’t remember the full story but I know as a child it was terrifying!!

Nah Jannz that wasn’t meant to be the end of the world, was meant to be when planes fell out of the sky, computers all blew up and we went back to using two sticks to start a fire =D
