How Did You Build Your Perfect Skincare Routine?

Hi everyone! 👋

I’m looking for your best face wash recommendations for different skin types.

* Which face wash has worked best for you?
* What skin type do you have (oily, dry, combination, or sensitive)?
* Which ingredients do you look for or avoid?
* Have you found any affordable products that perform really well?

I’ll start: I think choosing a face wash based on your skin type makes a huge difference. Gentle cleansers with the right ingredients can help maintain the skin barrier without over-drying or causing irritation.

I’d love to hear your recommendations and experiences. Let’s help each other discover products that actually work!

I used to use cleansers but now just use the Bisous cloth which takes off all my make-up and cleans my skin perfectly. I have dry skin and late 60s now. It’s the best thing I have used the last 2 years.

I used to use cleansers all the time but now I have been using the Bisous cloth for over 2 years now. It takes all my makeup off and cleanses my face at the same time just with warm water. I haven’t bought any cleansers for ages now. I do have dry skin and now aged 69.

After doing all that with the cloth, it’s then toner and serums, moisturisers, depending whether day or night on which one I use.

I use the QV gentle foaming cleanser in the morning and their Cream cleanser at night after using the Cerave gentle cleansing oil to remove all my makeup.
I find this works for me and my combo skin.

    Hey,
I think the best face wash depends on your skin type. I have combination skin, so I use a gentle face wash that cleans well without making my skin dry. I look for ingredients like glycerin and niacinamide, and I avoid strong fragrance and harsh chemicals. An affordable face wash that works well for many people is Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. Keeping the routine simple has given me the best results.
If you have dry skin, you can give Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream a try. It’s gentle, keeps the skin hydrated, and has worked well for many people with dry skin.

    I have dry sensitive skin.

Basically , No or Less parfums for anything is best for me and ingredients that are natural and have moisturising contents helps my dry skin. Brands are quite good with their recommendations as it will tell you on the label what skin type it is suitabe.I constantly have dry lips and find Burt Bees is still my favourite.

I am a huge fan of Cerave. I have tried so many cleansers but this is one I always come back to. I also like the Garnier cleansing balm and Sumanutrica Amino Acid Gentle Cleanser.
