Help, bumpy ingrowns!!

Hi all, I have just recently started getting the brazillian done after shaving for the past 2 years. Prior to this I was waxing on a regular basis and was prone to ingrowns! What does everyone else use to prevent these nasties and the red bumps!!!

Another good tip is to leave the hair grow until the skin is healed again so you dont scar the skin!

I exfoliate every night (leave it a day or two straight after waxing, you don’t wanna be all red down there!!) and apply Caron bump eRaiser. It used to be that you could only purchase from professional beauty suppliers or your waxer, but you can now get it at Hairhouse Warehouse and I think even some Pricelines stock it. Been using it for a fair while now and I love it!

Have just starting using Caron’s Bump eRaiser, will let you know how it goes!

this is also good on pimples, it doenst completely clear them but soothes and calms the irritation so they reduce in size

Thanks guys, I might try the Nads as it would be a lot more cheaper than the beauticians products. I’m guessing you can get that at a Priceline? Thalgo do a serum which works wonders but so expensive, my sister gave me the last of her spray. I’ve also learnt that as well as looking after the area it also depends on the waxer! I have had some bad experiences!

I recommend exfoliating regularly, this usually prevents the hairs from becoming ingrown. But once you get them, ouch! I try teasing the hairs out (so they’re growing out properly, not curving back around), but this is best done after a shower when the pores and follicles are open. Also, this doesn’t work when your whole half leg is ingrown haha! Very time consuming! I have used the nad’s ingrow solution but I found that on its own it wasn’t very effective, I use a body sponge once a day on the areas I wax and this works really well to prevent ingrowns 🙂

Nads for me as well, it works wonders, also there is a product I have been wanting to try called Tend Skin Solution, The Facial Company were offering free deluxe samples of this the other day with any order placed. Could be worth checking out 🙂

I also use the Nads Ingrown Solution . It works very well.

I tried the Skin Doctors Ingrow Go years ago and came out in a really bad rash everywhere I put it. Ditto for every other Skin Doctors product I’ve ever tried.

I used to use Ingrow Go which works well but then I found the NADS one which I think is cheaper. In terms of effectiveness, I found that both work equally well.
