Headaches

i am a freak for headaches, i get them fortnightly, if not weekly, and paracetomol just doesnt do it anymore, im sick of taking medication for a headache!
does anyone know any natural ways to help a headache!!? im desperate!

    What? no chocolate or banana Anna Maria? we`ll see think i`ll try the rosemary tea. Cause is so many things in my case its impossible to avoid and panadol is useless 🙁

    Headaches are caused by a variety of things (there are different types of headaches) and can take a while to work out what best works for you, but if its caused by muscle tension try having a massage. It may help! At least it will be relaxing and may iron out any knots you may have.

    Another suggestion would be to see a chiropractor, my daughter did and it did wonders after just one visit and then she just had a follow up visit. You can hear the cracks when its being done but doesnt hurt (sounds worse than it is) -a sign her body was out of alignment was one shoulder was slightly lower and also her hip than the other side

    Here`s something else you might like to try. You can just put a few drops of lavender oil on a tissue and tuck it in your bra, and also put it under your pillow when you sleep at night.

    I`m glad you`re better Anna-Maria, but what are in bananas and chocolate to cause headaches? I know choc can have caffeine but you`d have to eat a lot to get the headaches, right?

    My doctor mentioned staying away from chocolate and banana and since i`m both a chocoholic and i eat plenty of bananas this was a task indeed. However, i`ve cut down dramatically and i`ve noticed the difference.

    that`s true about nutrition. I try to eat a well balanced diet and when I eat the wrong foods my body tends to feel the effects of this and I`m prone to headaches and illness.

    Make sure you are eating well as poor nutrition can cause headaches. Eat plenty of vegetables especially leafy greens, and also drink plenty of water everyday.

  • or another cause may be your sight. It`s well worth going to an optometrist to get your eyes checked out.

    Another thing – headaches are often caused by tension in your neck – so it`s worth visiting a physio to get that checked out too…

    I also used to get a lot of migraines and a friend from work recommended having an asprin every morning as it thins the blood which helps to prevent migraines from occurring and that does work well – asprin is not as bad as taking paracetamol/iboprofen etc. I don`t get them as much anymore though I think they were often stress related and my job is less stressful now fortunately!

    I would just recomend water and try not to put your mind or focus on getting a headache because then u probably will.
