Halloween Costumes

Hey, is anybody going to a Halloween party this weekend or dressing up at all? If so what will you be going as?
I’m playing at a pub this weekend and it is a Halloween themed night, but I’m not really sure what to go as, any ideas? Do all Halloween costumes have to be scary? Thanks xx

I`m a bit disappointed that nobody I know seems to do Halloween parties.

My mother will probably wear a scraggly long black wig that I gave her about 12 years ago. She only wears it once of twice a year to Halloween parties. She`s in her 70s and the wig and the right makeup take about 10 years off her!

It`s not fair. My mother gets to dress up for Halloween and I don`t. Sniff. Wahhh. :p

i have my daughters 2nd birthday party halloween night, its Holly-ween. we are all getting dressed up, she is a ladybug, my 4yr old son is a skeleton, and i am going to be a devil complete with red devil eyes. only thing is hubby has just told me that most of the adults have done the “”do i really have to dress up?”” bit, so i am a little disspointed. hundreds of dollars themeing the party and no0one wants to make any form of effort. i`m thinking of going to the $2 shop buying a stack of masks and making the non-dress up guests wear them as they show up at the door.

how hard is it really, most people have something in the wardrobe that they can use like guys just wear black pants and a shirts with skulls or something on it and grab a mask, and like stayc said its really easy for a girl to do 80`s, everyone owns something from that era. it doesnt have to cost a lot to dress up, just careful use of what you have. it really sucks when guests dont care to put in the effort, but are happy to come round eat your food and consume your alcohol and drinks.

    sorry rant over!

I`m tossing up between Wonder Woman (already have from afancy dress last year) or The Little Mermaid ….. I made a beautiful costume back in high school – hours and hours of hand sewing sequins on! I think it needs to be worn to make it worthwhile. Plus when I grow up I want to be a mermaid =)

I`m a party animal, not, going to a trivia night on Halloween but not sure if it`s a costume deal or not, better find out. If it is I`ll probably go for an 80`s look or maybe Goth/emo or vampire, something with simple clothes but fun makeup.
