From brunette fast to platinum blonde? Is it possible?
Why is it we see Hollywood stars go from very dark hair to very light, non-orange/yellow blonde in so short a time? Can it be done, what is the process and who are the hairdressers that will risk it? Some people tell me it is possible to get the platinum non-yellow look on naturally dark hair quickly and others tell me it is a slow process and even then there will still be that unwanted brassiness. Could you guys please help before I or anyone wanting to lighten up waste time and money trying to get the Hollywood blonde. Thankyou!!!

I just wanted to add a quick note.
40 volume will definately wreck the ends of your hair. It will feel rubbery. You could use 30 vol. which is quite strong but it may take another application or two and it will take longer because you`ll have to wait a couple of days in between bleaching and treating it.

It`s totally possible, although it`s not very good for your hair. I went from darkest brown, nearly black to almost white blonde over the course of a weekend but my hair was wrecked for a long time. I had to have a lot cut off to get rid of the ends, which were rubber-like. Use a 40 vol. developer with bleach powder. If you use 20 vol your hair will go bright orange (not nice). 30 vol. might work, but you`d probably have to give it 2-3 goes. If you use a 40 vol. you`ll probably only have to bleach your hair twice.
I did a bleach bath first. I mixed some 20vol with some shampoo and water and through damp hair and massage it through. Leave it for about 20 minutes. This preps the hair and opens the follicles. It helps the bleach to really do its job.
Rinse this out, wash, and dry your hair. Now mix up the 40 vol and leave the bleach in between 30 mins and an hour. But be careful! If it burns your scalp or your hair goes stringy, stop immediately and wash your hair. Don`t expect the 1st application to give you platinum hair right away.
Wash and dry your hair again. It`s probably best to wait a day before you bleach again. Use a deep conditioning treatment over night in your hair to repair it and protect it before you bleach again.
Now, with the second application, you can either put some ash blonde on your hair for a few minutes before you bleach. This will neutralize some of the gold so when it bleaches it the hair it won`t go as orange. Or you can do this afterwards to tone.
So in short, two applications of 40 vol. with bleach should do the trick. But please be careful and if your hair breaks STOP immediately. And don`t forget to use conditioning treatments.

its possible, but make sure you find a good hairdresser who knows what she is doing and, i`d used an expensive treatment, shampoo and con, kerastase in the green range is really good!
depending what condition your hair is in it may snap with too much bleaching, i tryed going for dark to light and the third time it snaped, and that was with 30volt . when you do get it blonde regular toners will keep it looking a white/ash.
