Friendly Suggestion to New Comers to BH

Hopefully the BH admin team looks at these threads from time to time and could talk to their computer programmers to implement some of these suggestions.

I’ve been a member for BH for years and still finding my way. 😛
Like all the suggestions though.

So would we use that search function now instead of the one on the right?? I wonder if the forum search is going to be changed as well then??

WONDERFUL NEWS! I happened to be searching somthing up on the BH search engine at the top of the page and… the search has changed to google and includes forum posts! I used it to find this thread and it was easy as pie 😀 Take a look! This will hopefully fix alot of the issues with the same questions being asked etc

I’ve made the mistake of asking old questions too Serena! 🙂
Tho I havent had the confidence to start a new forum and I’m not even sure of the proper terminology..threads vs posts vs forums etc!!
I’m also going thru some medical issues which affect my concentration and memory which make it overwhelming to search through so much information…… then I have internet issues on top of that… and to be honest, it becomes easier to not post anything…..this is very frustrating because I really enjoy reading everyones comments in the forums and it has become an important social interaction for me.
A number of clever beauties have suggested great ways of improving the search function which would be awesome

I agree it would definitely be confusing for new members and I honestly believe that most of them do not even read that thread that gives tips on how to use the forum, which is why these suggestions would be ideal so that everyone was more likely to read them and then there would be so much less confusion. Yes the search function is a shocker, sometimes I have to scan back 5-10 pages just to find the thread I am looking for, and it is only because I have been around ages and I know that the thread does exist which is why I am looking for it, but as for a new person who has no idea I can understand why they just give up looking 🙂

I was just thinking that maybe another suggestion for BH would be to have some sort of tutorial program for new members. I remember how confusing it was when I first logged into the forums and I would have really appreciated a helping hand myself but didnt know where to go for help so I just learned along the way. Welcome to all the new members too.

I know you meant no harm Mollygirl and I definately wasn’t offended at all. I just wanted to explain that wasn’t what I was doing because I did accidently post a question that had already been answered

I think the search button needs two search tabs-

One to search a topic in THREADS and the other to search topics in POSTS

It would be so much easier, the search tab threw me off when I first started, you really have to sift through each post to find the thing you’re looking for !
