Freshwater amazing hair softener

I went under a waterfall today (Somersby Falls) and got totally saturated, twice. (Yes I was wearing my cozzie) When my hair dried it was sooooooooo soft. I know too when I’ve ‘caught’ my own rainwater in a bucket/container and used it as a final rinse it makes my hair super soft too. Has anyone else experienced this natural softener?
