Foundation in a Spray?!
Good morning Ladies!
I’m hoping that someone can give me some insight into Foundation that you can get from a can and spray onto your face!
I want to know what the Coverage is like and also brands that offer this. I know that NP has a spray but was wondering if you knew of any others!
I also want to know how you would apply it and it’s consistency on the skin! (obviously you spray it on but if there are tips and tricks!)
If anyone can help it would be much appreciated!!

From what I understand, the purpose of spray foundation is to get the foundation mixed properly and make it very loose and thin on the skin. I highly don’t recommend you to spray it on your face. Spray it on the top your hand then use a sponge to dab it on your face.

Hey Amydeville,
I used to use Era spray on foundation (a brand nearly no one has heard of, it’s not sold in stores, I think you have to buy it through a stockist somewhere).Era was recommended by my Dermatologist – I ordered some samples from their website, but never got around to ordering the full product.
I also have a mineral spray foundation (can’t remember brand) I got from Priceline on sale – yet another discontinued line! It’s still in its box, so I’ll report back on that when I’ve actually had a chance to use it. I’m a bit unco at the best of times, so I’m not sure how I’ll go 😆

I was given a demo on the Dior Skin AirFlash though the lady put it on and it looks so good! Very light and sheen! All I know is that Camilla Belle wears it!
I think it would be great for summer. I almost bought a bottle online and stopped myself because I am on a spending ban at present. BUT soooo tempting.

There are several videos on Youtube that demonstrate how to use the Dior product. One features a Dior consultant in Bloomingdales. I can’t find it at present but just key in Dior Skin Airflash Foundation Spray. And it is available in Australia. Sorry I can’t get to the links now but I have to run to have a pedicure (so looking forward to it). x

Yes, Dior has a spray foundation called Dior Skin Airflash foundation. I don’t know if it is available in Australia, but I have read some excellent reviews on overseas websites. Apparently it is best to spray it on a brush and then apply it on your face. Some people use it on their arms and legs to even out their skin and may buy it in a dark shade so it is used like a fake tan. Would love to try this one.
Thank you Roxy! i’ll have to have a good look into these brands and see what’s like! if only you could get samples haha!
Thank you Ladies!! Much appreciated 🙂

Hey Amydeville,
I used to use Era spray on foundation (a brand nearly no one has heard of, it’s not sold in stores, I think you have to buy it through a stockist somewhere), and it was really easy to use. It had a coverage that was between medium and heavy – freckles and other previously visible features were covered up, but it didn’t have a ‘caked on’ look either. To apply it, you just sprayed it in a zig zag direction down your face.
It could also be used as a body spray sortof thing, for your legs I think (I only used it for my face).
I used to spray it onto my hand and then apply to my face and blend using my fingers, but near the end of the bottle I just sprayed it straight onto my face, and I found it saved so much time, as well as blending with a powder puff thing.. I know one trick was to use the powder puff thing, 10 seconds after spraying onto face, and gently patting the foundation in a downwards direction – it realllly helped even out the tone if I sprayed it wrong, and supposedly made it waterproof ( I never wore it before going into the pool or the beach, so I’m not sure if that holds up).
Hope I’ve helped 🙂 I’m pretty sure Dior has a spray foundation, too.Chanellover!
Deffinitley helped! it’s great to know about brands I’ve never even heard of! plus if it’s an excellent brand then all the more better! it sounds so much easier to apply when you put it that way and also being able to blend will help alot too! I was worried that it would be a “dry instantly” type of foundation but that actually sounds good! Thank you!!
