Foundation drying skin out

No matter which foundation i use, after a few hours they leave dry skin on my forehead, even if i use a really thick moisturiser like vaseline. I’ve used Avon, and at the moment am using Maybelline Wonder finish, but still, by the end of the day, the centre of my forhead is flaking! What do you recomend?

try and use a natural based foundation, mineral foundations are light, do not have harsh chemicals in them such as frangrance and dyes, which can dry your skin out, and also lets yoru skin breathe, and your skin will feel softer, smoother, and look flawless,

If your skin is normal, is your moisturiser too rich? Oil-free? Is your foundation going on straight after moisturiser or do you let the moisturiser sink in first? Is your foundation too matte or drying?

Pink Diva, i have normal skin, rarely prone to pimples, with the occassional dry spot. I use a soapfree cleanser and moisturiser generally

ONLYONE, can i find out what your skin is like? What skincare products are you using on your skin?
I think there lies your problem…

Onlyone first up just a quick note – vaseline doesn`t moisturiser your skin – it creates a barrier which protects it from outside elements – but that`s all.
    .
Back to your query – it doesn`t sound like you may be allergic to some ingredients commonly found in makeup? It could be worth switching to mineral makeup which doesn`t contain those nasties – particularly talc like someone mentioned. A brand I can`t help but recommend is Eles. As your skin seems to dry up with foundation – I wouldn`t go with a powder formula as this will only make things worse – but Eles does a liquid to powder foundation which is fantastic and well worth the money.
    .
Another suggestion is to use Dermalogica barrier repair gel – which I use – great for dry, sensitive skin as it moisturises while also protecting from elements – you smooth it on over your moisturiser.

I have had similar problems to this and the only trick I`ve found to work is mixing sorbelene cream with whatever foundation you use. I usually put a few squeezes of sorbelene in my hand, then apply it WITH my foundation using fingers – you could also use a sponge if you want. I`ve found it blends with my foundation very well and my skin doesn`t dry out. Hope this helps.

Oh yes, i slather it on..But i often wait around 5-10 minutes to apply foundation, after applying moisturiser so that it can be absorbed by my skin.
