Earthquake felt in Qld
Just wondering if any of our higher up BH Qlder’s felt the earthquake. I heard that people in Cairns and Innisfail felt it.
Gee its getting to be like every day something is happening somewhere in the world.

Unfortunately the plates moving is not effected by weather patterns so the El Nino ending will only end the floods and cyclones not the earthquakes and Tsunamis
Well floods and cylcones are probably the biggest problem here in Qld atm so a bit of a break from that will be nice, have not had a break all year, lol. I heard there was another quake in Vanuatu today as well 🙁

2012 I tell you. It has all been predicted and I’m sure this will not be the last we see of the ring of fire in the next few months unfortunately.
From what I read all this nasty weather has to do with the El Niño affects and BOM predicts this to finish at the end of this month.
Really hoping so right now. This is just crap!

Haha all good, I did feel it here but was totally oblivious to the fact that it was an earthquake until I heard it on the news later that day. I was getting something out of the fridge when it completely started shaking and I have a small TV on the fridge that also started moving around so I just stood there and held onto the fridge, thinking that it was the fridge having a little moment or something, lol. Was really shocked though when I heard it was a quake, I have never felt one in my life and actually didn’t even think we get them here. But after hearing on the news tonight that there have been a few recorded here over the years, mostly out at sea though and also hearing them saying that the Innisfail coastline is susceptible to earthquakes (and cyclones, lol) I really think I want to move from here, enough is enough, this town must be jinxed or something.
Move down the coast a bit?
