Dry, flakey extremely sensitive skin.

I’ve recently started an acne treatment that results in virtually no oil being produced on my skin. Consequently my skin and lips are so dry and sensitive! I desperately need to find out the most effective and extreme moisturising options out there, any suggestions?!

I love QV repair cream, or anything by QV, they’re so gentle and cheap!
You can also email them for samples, I did that once, and a lovely lady from Head Office sent me generous samples in the mail. I’ve been converted since thanks to their brilliant customer service.

I agree! QV Repair skin works wonders! I had extremely dry/flakey skin and every thing i tried didn’t seem to work, i went into my local chemist and they recommended Qv Repair Cream. It’s about $8 for a tube that lasts about 6 months with every day use. I’ve been using it for years, and a bonus is that it can be used as an all over moisturizer aswell! 🙂

QV are great for sensitive and dry skin. I have just been using their body wash and it is really moisturising and non-stripping compared to some soaps that cause dermatitis and dry skin for me. There skincare (face) range was equally as good. Natural alternatives like those suggested by others here are great suggestions too. Have you also checked that you are drinking enough water, i know that can be a major contributing factor to dry lips for me.

In winter i recommend not using warm or hot water for washing your face as this opens up the pores and causes the skin to become more dry. Definetely use a creamy moisturizer, like Cetaphil or one with Vitamin E , which you can find in priceline or a pharmacy. Wash with a creamy cleanser and try not to scatch or touch your face too much.
The body shop has a vitamin E range which is really good.

To get rid of the flakey dry skin, try organic honey and brown sugar scrub. The honey retains moisture to the skin and it’s safe for sensitive skin. Whereas the sugar acts great with the honey to scrubs off the dead skin and reveal a new layer.

When I have really bad dry sensitive skin, I still and always go to the Avene range especially the Hydrance Optimale rich moisturiser for you.

Badger evolving body balm. This is a beautiful all natural balm that is fantastic when my skin is super dry & you can use it under your eyes & on your lips too. Also good for other moisture starved parts on your body. You don’t need much either, just take a little on you fingertips & dot over your face then massage in.It doesn’t always sink in quickly so you might want to use it at night.

If you have dry sensitive skin then MooGoo might be worth checking out, it has the best moisturisers I have used for sensitive skin. I find them too rich for my oily face though, other than the Anti-Ageing moisturiser, however I do find it still a bit heavy for daytime wear so like to only use it at night. For dry skin though, it would be ideal 🙂

I dont recommend any product that have any sort of chemicals or fragrances etc:)

i suffer no joke 3 times a month with dry flaky red flares and over years of trial and test I like to sort of soak my skin with calamine lotion
( i keep in fridge so it soothes my skin) then I apply jojoba oil on dry skin and massage for abit and then I apply my plain cetaphil lotion for face and body!

I try to keep my skin soothes at all times and moisturized !

    hope I helped 🙂

Use natural products like Juice Organics, Burt’s Bees, Sukin, Natural Instinct, Natural being ect. It really helps, burt’s bees has an anti blemish range that you might like to try.
