Dark Underarms

ladies, don`t be offended but it might be a slight fungal thing! i used to have this many years ago and the doctor suggested using canesten on it. just normal canesten cream, like what you get for thrush! it worked, try it for a few days and see. a lot of people get this, it`s one of those warm, enclosed areas of skin i guess. i notice if i don`t use a really effective antiperspirant, it returns.

Ladies, I would recommend exfoliating the areas regularly to help remove the dull appearance and then apply a lightening product as ELMO said. Whitenening products do not LIGHTEN as such but they BRIGHTEN the area and reduce the appearance of dark underarms/pigmentation and scarring. xx

Oh no, unfortunately it`s always there. I use to think it was because of shaving, but I`ve stopped doing that for years now – I`ve now resorted to plucking, but it`s still there. I`ve heard of a few whitening products… but they`re usually for the face – for example, Skin Doctor`s sd white, but I wouldn`t count on it working under the arm. And you`re right, Elmo, I think I`ll drop into a local Priceline and ask.

I think i will try it elmo, i got a free sample of it form palmers a while back in the mail. Will head off to priceline and get some tomorrow i think! yubi do you get it all the time? i just seem to notice discoleration after shaving. its really weird.

It could style queen? I don`t really have that problem myself – but I`d give it a try as long as the product was irritating?

Do you think palmers lightening product would work?

There are whitening products available to help deal with pigmentation – I`m not sure of any specific details though so hopefully someone else will have more info for you. Could be worth looking around at the chemist or asking the people there for help too?

i sometimes find the skin under my arms is a bit grey as well, i don`t know how to cure it thoguh. Can`t wait to hear peoples advice, it sometimes goes like that after shaving or if i don shave for a while.
