I saw a new product of theirs today in myer, i think it wa a hand cream or something? anyway, tomorrow i am going back with my mum and buying it. she is getting it for me! i feel a little mean milking her for money, but my birthday is coming up so its part of my present from her.

Hi Pusstiss, Perth is not my hometown. I`ve lived around the world so I have plenty to compare to. Can`t say I like being in Perth, it`s a bit far away from everywhere, skincare stuffs and housing are mighty expensive, groceries price and eating out are more expensive than eastern states (with lesser quality of service), and we always miss out on good events/happenings that only happen in Eastern states… There`s only so many things you can do with the beach and you`ll be running out of things to do in no time. No bustling cafes & arts scenes like in Melbourne and Sydney. Personally I think it`s a good place for retirement or people with kids, not for people in 20s-30s, a bit too sedate, no Sunday trading and no 24 hours supermarkets.

Perth could be a better place if we have our family here, ours are all in eastern states and overseas. Perth does have it`s good thing but it`s not my first preference for a place to settle down. I would prefer New Zealand, cooler climate and much more beautiful sceneries and more variety in sceneries (beaches, mountains, hot springs, etc.) instead of one long stretch of beaches. Plus summer in Perth is waaaay too hot, over 40C (sometimes 48C) is just not my cup of tea… So I have to say I agree with your hubby`s view. No offense intended, each one to its own. 🙂
