Cold Sore Troubles!!

Nooooo!! I’ve gotten a coldsore (yet again)! Does anyone have any tips on how to minimise the pain and get rid of the cold sore overnight? It is such a pain, and it’s very obvious!

Thanks in advance!

Next time apply sunblock lip balm or sunscreen on your face before going outside under the sun may help stop cold sores from recurring and reappearing. However, it may also aggravate the symptoms. This is why it is better if you’ll know how to get rid of a cold sore fast overnight.

    Hi beauties,

We still have some Compeed Cold Sore Patch Total Care Nights to trial, so if you suffer from cold sores on a regular basis (especially during winter!), we’d love for you to have some patches on hand!
If you’re interested in trialing the overnight patches and submitting a review afterward, please email me at carli@beautyheaven.com.au with the subject line ‘Compeed Night’

arhhh i just got a cold sore yesterday and this cold, dry weather is not helping out all!
I ran out of all my creams and patches and havent had the chance to go to the shops so its been this little annoying reminder that does not want to budge.
Any one have any quick fixes or household remedies ??

Thank you very much for your help and replies everyone! My coldsore is gone (I used nail polish on a cotton bud on the cold sore), but I feel another one coming (noooo!). I’ll use Zovirax as a preventative cream.

Once again, thank you for your help!

ompeed cold sore patches are what i use
they reduce the discomfort and make them less visible

ziviorax Is great but it is sopose to be applyed before the coldsore breaks the skin, when you feel a lump or that tingly feeling before the scab appears. so when applyed to the scab dosent accually make much difference.
I recomend the compeed pads to place over the coldsore, then it hides it competly and releifs the pain also and will help heal it up asap.
Talk to your local pharmacy but this is what myne recomended and it worked for me and many friends.

I think it’s really just that they protect the sore so well. Mine swell up the moment any acidic or rough food touches them and that did not happen with them on.

that’s amazing as to how effective Compeed patches sound! the formulation in the patches must be pretty strong.

you can;t beat the compeed patches!

I have used the normal ones and they’re seriously the best, I am currently trialing the night too.

You should read some reviews in your spare time, it helps with the discomfort, and also the patch sort of supports the blister so it helps with the pain by holding it all in more compactly

. I hope that has made sense, i really encourage you to try it!

I get a cold sore every summer it seems as the sun is what triggers them with me. Definitely take Carli up on the trial. Those Compeed patches shortened my last sore to 3 days instead of a week and a half. It basically didn’t get to the crusty stage. Just a red bump that was hidden under the patch and then flattened without irritation.
