Celebrity Size 00 – did anybody watch it?

Did anybody see that show on channel 7 on Sunday night (23rd Dec)?
OMG – what are these gorgeous girls thinking? They all just look ill. It was actually very shocking. I think designers who make that size and stylists (think that skank Rachael Zoe) who make and promote these sizes to anybody should be shot. They are not only making celebrities unhealthy – but the women and girls who aspire to be like them. To be made to feel that a size 10 is fat – what planet are we on? Nobody can seriously think that size 00 (which is the equivelant to a childs size 7) is sexy or womanly, nor more importantly healthy? There was one imbecile who was saying that maybe some of these girls are naturally that thin – I think not – nobody is naturally skin and bones, yes many girls are very slim – but not naturally skeletal. These celebs definitely have eating and self image disorders. I mean some of these stunning women are wasting away (Keira Knightly, Kate Bosworth) is so sad, but the skinnier they get the more famous they get too – it’s ridiculous. When is this unhealthy body image going to stop???

It made me cry a bit actually! Such lovely women now so horrifyingly ill-looking. And did anyone else notice that there are less smiles in the “”after weight loss”” photos?

And I`m annoyed it was broadcast so late – if it was on earlier in the day and had more advertising then the messages could`ve reached more people suffering from these problems.

And these messages of Lose Weight Fast are everywhere I look. I know I am fine but I am still made to feel bad about myself because every type of advertising says I have a problem I need to fix. It has depressed me before.

I watched this documentary yesterday on the Lifestyle Channel about this British celebrity who was trying to become a size o in 30 days (I think the show`s been on before). She exercised 2 times a day and her diet mainly consisted of greens. She was always hungry, moody and tired. I love my food to much to go to these extremes and I just don`t like the look of skin and bones and neither does my partner.

I think it`s appalling the so called `ideal` body images that are out there. It`s been going on for such a long time…and I can`t see it ending any time soon either! I remember about 12 years ago (I was about 11) I used to look at myself in the mirror, and I would compare myself to all the models/celebrities around then, who many had such stick like legs, and I used to look at my own legs (typical curvy female shape – I was prob like a size 8 then too!) and think that they must just get skinnier as I got older – coz everywhere I looked ppl had such slim legs with no curvy thighs etc!! Now I know that`s not natural – but pretty scary to think about what I was thinking back then! I actually believe the men of this world need to speak up more because I have discussed with my boyfriend what he thinks is `too thin` and he comments the same way I do… We need to try and remind ourselves that size 00 is not what ppl find attractive – it`s simply the size that these unrealistic designers and stylists think we should be…

why would someone want to punish themselves like that? and look older than their age. do people really find this attractive? Kiera Knightly had a great toned body in her bend it like beckham days however has followed the hollywood trend of starving for success. Rachel Zoe just looks shocking. I`d want my stylist to look healthy and fabulous!!
