can’t find a haircut to suit

hey, first time poster here~

i’ve never ever been able to find a hairstyle that suits me and it’s only recently beginning to really bug me and i’d love some help?

i have tried everything from long (midway down my back) to short (around my ears), front fringe, side fringe, no fringe at all

i just feel nothing suits me at all…
at the moment it is just above shoulder length, and it’s sort of inbetween front and side fringe… i had a front fringe but now it’s grown out.. i sort of just part it in the middle or pin it all back, but i hate not having a fringe!
i understand it’s kind of hard to give me advice without photos but i don’t really feel like posting my face online haha.

if anyone has any tips for finding a hair style to suit me, i’d love the advice.
the last few times i’ve been to a hairdresser and i say “i have no idea what hair cut i want” i usually walk out very dissatisfied… the last three hair cuts have all been front fringes but it’s a lot of maintenance… i have to blow dry it straight every day because my hair is naturally wavy and that’s too much for me, i’m not a fussy girl.
advice? thanks so much

I have this same problem. everyone says try this and then someone else says it will look bad. I think if you want a complete change you need to be prepared to spend the money. Maybe even try out a different hair dresser and just go in and ask them what they think you should do before booking to give you a bit of an idea of what you may want. Hope this helps!

go for a really layered look with no fringe. it’s a bit plain but it suites everyone

You could always try a short pixie cut. My hair used to be extremely wild, wouldn’t do what i wanted it to until i got it cut really short.
I’m not sure if it’ll suit you, but it’s a little different. Easy to do, and with a different fringe.

I hope you find your perfect ‘do 🙂

have a look at movie stars who either have the same shaped face as you or similar style of hair.

I actually got my current haircut from miranda in the first sex and the city movie – pretty much is a curly pob (ie front down to my chin but bck cut really short up to my neck). I had seen this hair cut on straight hair eg victoria beckham who first made the style famous, then rhianna, but it wasn’t until i saw it on curly (well slighty wavy!!) hair on miranda on sex and the city that i clicked that this style would work for me.

that’s what my hairstyle is like basically except that the back has grown out and now it’s all the same length bob hahah it doesn’t look that great.
i would get that cut again, because i like a wavy ‘pob’ but my hair doesn’t just go wavy… it goes horribly frizzy.
is your hair all the same length or do you have a fringe?
