Bruise that just gets worse???

My son came home from daycare a few weeks ago with really red and scaly cheeks so I loaded cream on them before bed, but when he woke the next morning there was a huge bruise on his cheek??
They said nothing happened in daycare (they thought the redness was windburn) so I have no idea where it came from.
It was fine about 3wks ago but now it just keeps getting darker, has this happened to anyone else??
Its really confusing, Im wondering should I bring him to the doc??

sounds a bit similar to my bubs eczema on his face (with out the bruising). it`s really red and angry at it`s worst and weeps??????
the gp seems to think it may have gotten infected.
perhaps (if it`s not eczema) something did happen and he got a tiny scratch with got infected?????? i`d take him to the gp to be sure.

hi elainebr18 if it`s taken more than 3 weeks to heal I`d certainly get it checked out by a doctor. your childcare centre should be applying sunscreen to your child. what you describe doesn`t sound like wind or sunburn. perhaps he was biten by something. I hope it heals up soon 🙂
