Bloom products

The latest BH article inspired me to start up this topic. I really like Bloom – I’m starting to try more and more of their products lately – I like their stance on using natural ingredients, all at reasonable prices. So tell me, what Bloom products do you covet and why?
.
One other question – has anyone tried the sweet almond cleansing oil? And does anyone know if it has mineral oil in it? I’m researching for my next eye makeup remover – I’ve been turned off my current budget buy of baby oil due to mineral oil content – I have a shizen oil makeup remover to try next – but also curious about the Bloom cleansing oil?
.
Oh and just realised there’s an actual Bloom eyemakeup remover too (which is cheaper than the almond cleansing oil – so much better!) – has anyone tried this either? Thanks ladies! 🙂

Hi Elmo if you are after organice make sure it has the certification seal on it. Happy shopping.

I had a google of organic sunscreens and found a few – and some of them appear to be stocked in chemists so I`m going to have a browse next time I`m near a chemist – and I will indeed check out the ingredients also!!

i have to second that sometimes the most expensive brands have the same ingredients as the cheaper versions

Thanks Gem for the ingredients list, I`m totally put off by it…

I have only tried Bloom nail polish so far, nothing natural with it, it contains formaldehyde like most other nail polish brands, and I`ve used better quality nail polish. Having said that, if I remember correctly their cleansing oil and makeup removers were reasonably natural.

I think the key to finding good and honest “”natural”” products are to see the ingredients list, I`m afraid there`s no short cut to it. I NEVER believe company`s own advert about their products being natural. I will only believe their words if the ingredients list say so. Otherwise it`s just blatant false/misleading advertisement.

We have to remember also that even “”natural”” products need preservative to prevent the bacterias from growing and to extend shelf-life. Otherwise the products will go bad very, very quickly.

So true Beautybee…hats and sunglasses are a must…and I try to stay out of the sun where possible as well…maybe that`s why i don`t have any “”crows feet””…LOL

Hi girls – I think you would be surprised if you knew that many of your “”named”” products are made in the exact same factory as your cheaper ones and even have identical ingredients in them. Buying dearer ones doesn`t necessarily mean “”good”” . I use mineral makeup so this helps with the sunscreen factor, I wear hats and stay out of the sun in the heat of the day where possible. I use Miessence sunscreen on my children – it is a little greasey when first putting it on but that soon goes. There are other good brands available some health food shops also have some good brands, when I last look invisible zinc isn`t so bad. You could check on the website I mentioned above about particular brands. These websites also have good ones

    I hope this helps

Oh my god?!! Gem that`s not cool!! I honestly expected more of Bloom! Hmm…back to the drawing board on that one then! I need to find a face sunscreen without any nasties…seriously is that too much to ask?! lol
    .
Sorry did mean to say thanks to beauty bee for checking that out! You seem like a natural product guru – can I ask if you use any sunscreen in particular? (for face mostly) Thanks 🙂

Put it this way Elmo..brought a mag from the supermarket and in it was a sample of Select Woolworths sunscreen and the ingredients listed are exactly the same as the Bloom…LOL

I have no idea?…when I can`t pronounce them that`s it for me…the ingredients are on the back of the sample pack…maybe do some research if you are worried…I never apply sunscreen straight to my face anyway…tho I should give it a go on my arms if anything just to try it out…maybe do what Beautybee suggested…if she does not think it`s good…it probably isn`t.
