Best natural hair mask?
I’ve found that olive oil, is a hair lifesaver! It’s affordable and natural, not only that but it is extremely effective (if not a little heavy, would keep this one for days where you stay inside)
Personally, i am a lover of natural home remedies, does anyone else have some surprise hair saviors?

Have used yoghurt as a cleansing when I forgot my normal cleanser one weekend I went away used yoghurt and honey mixed together BUT have never used it on my hair pre- washing it will give it a go. Thanks for the tip.
I need to bump this thread as im desperate for some treatment for my hair today. Its very dry and brittle. I have some sesame oil i can use.
Does anyone else have a suggestion for a natural hair mask i can make at home for soft shiny hair?Yogurt is the best natural at-home mask…I love it when my hair are dry and brittle.
You have to cover all your hair with it and then leave it for half an hour before shampoo, your hair will love it..its also good for itchy scalp.. 🙂Thanks for this Nidhi! I get sick of oil treatments and often like something to put on my hair before I wash it,I will give it a try 🙂 My cat will love me, he goes nuts when I eat yoghurt!

I also love the concept of the oil but found it drained my colour from my hair when I washed it. It seemed to wash out the packet colour. Even though is was soft and felt wonderful it left me with some grey patches.blockquote>I’ve found that olive oil, is a hair lifesaver! I tried the olive oil in my hair for the first time today, and it looks lank and lifeless now – I think there is residual oil that I haven’t washed out properly – I use a natural shampoo which doesn’t lather very much so it was difficult to tell whether I was giving it a good enough wash when in the shower.
How much oil do people actually put into the hair for a treatment? I put only half the amount compared to Pantene proV 3minute treatment repair tube, was this too much? -

I had no idea that safeway and coles stock melrose coconut oil, I’ve always gotten mine from my local health food store (a bit too expensive though) so I get it mainly from chemist warehouse because it’s a bit cheaper.

*MoonStone*, Safeway and Coles stock coconut oil now. They are the same brands from health food stores.
I hunted high and low in both Coles and Woolies and couldn’t find any. Which aisle is it hiding in?
Rose, I had this problem too, I posted a picture in a different thread but I’ll add one here in case you are still looking
hopefully this will help you spot it!

mix 1 tsp coconut oil with brahmi powder or shikakai powder ,an egg and 2 tsp apple cider vinegar ,leave on for 20 mins, the powders are a bit messy to use but they are sooo good for ur hair, they r known to promote hair growth and prevent premature greying

Olive oil definitely! Lol the first time i tried it, i applied it to wet hair, as a conditioner.. i could not wash it out. I had to dry it and then re wash it! Now i apply it 20 mins before washing my hair (on dry hair lol) and like Fatima97 said, the results are AMAZING. my hair is immediately so much softer, smoother, shinier, and easier to style!!
